    • QR code doesn’t work
I revised the star rating because they did contact me and attempted to resolve the issue how ever it still would not work with our phone. Long story short the QR code in the manual doesn’t work. Website has compatibility list and phone is on it but is nearly impossible to actually get the app to download. Should not have to jump hoops to find the down load. Website has the down load and firmware, but knowing what firmware to necessary is not explained. Will probably send it back since we are not able to figure it out. ... show more

    • Doesnt work
Downloaded their app, checked everything on the phone, but when i plug it in to my device, it doesn't do anything at all. No lights, not recognized by the app, nothing. A pity because I would really like this to work, and unfortunately I waited to long to be able to return it.

    • Fun low-res camera
This is a low-res thermal imager that comes with a case, the camera and a USB extension. The USB extension is type C (standard) and you will need it if your phone has a case. At the time of writing, I paid $100 for this item. It works well, but of course the resolution is very low. Basically, this item is a pretty decent toy, and I enjoyed playing with it. It is possible that you might actually be able to use this tool for more serious purposes, but I wouldn't know. I got it because of the "wow" factor. Very pleased, overall. ... show more

    • Update: They Contacted Me
Update 2 The company contacted me & convinced me to give the camera another chance. I downloaded the app from their site & side-loaded it. In the settings I only chose to allow it to save pictures so when it came time to grant permissions it only requested to use my camera & access my pictures. The app is for two different devices & I believe it will need network access for the other camera. However it does not request it for this camera. I really like this camera & the app. I would give it a 5 star if they can fix their issue with hosting it on Play. This would make you feel more fuzzy about installing it. ---------------------------- The company has contacted me to work out the issues. I respect this & will give them a chance. I will post another update once I have more information. ----------------------------- There isn't an app for this camera & their website is gone. It does work tho. I used it with the Windows built-in camera & you can see hot spots but there is no way to measure & it wouldn't be practical to use. I also tried my "USB Camera" app but it showed up as 3 different cameras & wasn't useable. I searched for third-party apps but I didn't find one. ... show more

    • Will not work without app, which was removed from Google Play Store
Camera will not work without the accompanying app, which was removed from Google Play Store (suspicious in itself). Manufacturer wants you to go to their website and download their APK directly, bypassing all Google's security checks, and trust it to be loaded onto your phone directly. I don't trust them enough to do so, and the camera is worthless without the app, so I'll be returning it. ... show more

Not sure why I bought this, but it's pretty fun. If I recall while installing the app, It does not require any special permissions. I wonder if I would be able to see centipedes with this at night, I can't wait to catch one to try. You can make this very sensitive, for example, if I touch the table for a second, I can see my heat signature on the table for a good amount of time after I remove my hand. It's pretty amazing. I am not a fan of the case, it's a little to big. I wish I didn't need a USB-C adapter to plug into my phone. ... show more
