Bought this drone despite the many reviews that mention poor image quality in cold weather. I believe the sensor has been upgraded since those complaints were reported. Nonetheless, mine took its maiden flight in 40° f temps and I was very pleased with the video quality (4K 30p, *see screen shot) and how easy it is to use. Overall I’m happy with this purchase. Can’t speak for battery life yet because I’ve only flown it for about 10 minutes at the time of this review. Rated for 31 minutes of flight time, but probably a little less depending on temperatures and flying style. ... show more

This is great drone for the money. Very responsive, good battery life. Has a small issue with the data cable but after several emails it was addressed at FIMI. If you want a small, easy to fly, compact drone look no further.

Good for a very short distance. Light and easy to use video quality it good but if you use the zoom the quality drastically drops. Overall good short distance drone with okay camera.

    • This drone saved us
Hi I originally thought this drone was absolutely useless it wouldn’t connect as I had it it was a paper weight. I had to switch from using my IPhone to using my android tablet and it worked fine . It does freeze here and there and I have had it fly and crash it self but all that doesn’t matter . My family and I were recently caught in the fires in Altadena and Pasadena in the Eaton fire . This drone saved us I don’t know how else to say it . I was able to fly in low visibility Smokey / ash / ember conditions , the moderate to high gusts of winds (at the time 15 mph consistent with gusts 20 - 30 mph ) that pushed the drone around were semi easily controlled and corrected , the gimbal kept on point with 0 interference with picture quality, I was able to use the SAR mode to determine how far fires were burning to my neighborhood as well as my city . The battery life was 30 mins tops but still charging in between uses with the warning of low battery kept things manageable. I was able to go 300 feet up to see fires up to 3 miles away not with huge detail but detail enough I could determine where the fires we located in reference to my self . The build quality over all I would most definitely buy again with out hesitation. It is by far the most useful item I have ever acquired for my bug out emergency key . I can also charge in with my usb c in my truck or solar trickle charger . All in all this drone saved my neighborhood from burning being able to distinguish if smoke , fire or any problems were occurring in my general vicinity able my neighbors and my self to protect our neighborhood. I did lose 1 family home to this fire but I saved 2 of my family homes as well as my other neighborhood . If you need a drone that can take the abuse of a natural disaster and still come out working fine I would suggest with out a doubt to buy this drone . Just have an android handy it doesn’t like IOS . ... show more

    • Great Drone at a great price, but with issues.
Excellent price point for the tech included with this drone. Had to reduce the original rating of 5 stars to 1 due to issues with cold weather camera performance. Fimi recommends not using the drone below 32° F (0°C) but in reality it only starts to work well at or above 60°F. This is a known issue with all Fimi Mini 3 drones that has gone un-fixed by Fimi. A shame, it handles great and has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, Fimi support responded to my request for help resolving the issue with a laughing emoji and advice to "not fly in cold weather." I live in Northern NY, meaning the drone would only maybe work ok for 7 months out of the year. In the end, I returned it and paid a couple hundred more for a DJI. We'll worth the extra for a DJI! ... show more

I wanted to try drone flying. After hours of YouTube videos and careful consideration, I decided on this FIMI Mini 3 drone. It was about a quarter of the price of a DJI. I didn't want to spend a bundle on something, fly it a few times, and put it in a closet. The Fimi has many features for the money and also has many positive reviews. I am quite happy with this drone. It flys very well and the features work quite nicely. The photo and video are quite good. I paired the controller with a Hanatora 4.7-12.9 Inch Tablet Holder Mount, AuviPal 240W USB C Coupler, and a six-inch USB-C cable. It works perfectly, and the mini 3 is a blast to fly. I am quite pleased with this purchase and glad I didn't drop four times as much money on the "better" brand. This certainly is at least a great beginner drone and is very easy to fly. ... show more

TLDR: Drone is pretty middle of the road, features similar to a Mini 4k, The drone itself is fine for its price point, most of my complaints come from the controller, you almost need 3 hands to comfortably attach your phone to the controller because the controller expands and does not lock in a position so you can get your phone in position, the cable is DIRECTIONAL even if it is USB C the angled part must go into the phone and the straight part must plug into the controller no exceptions, and get replacement cables because a regular C to C cable does not work so i would not expect any others to work either ... show more

I bought the Fey mini three Gps wouldn’t login so I contacted Femi support. And they were great took care of the problems analyzed and they finally just sent me a new steam drone that works perfect I could you could ask for any better service from them. They were there every single day texted me and ask questions until they got it resolved so anybody that wants a very, very, very nice drone mini drone Excellent video of flying features. I don’t think he could ask for anything better especially for the price. FIMI. Thank you. Very much I also have their X8 tel max. Does it get a drone as you could ask for clear camera?
