  • Absolutely incredible drone!
Style: FIMI MINI 3 (32-mins)
The media could not be loaded. I have been looking for a drone that can record true 4k60fps video, hopefully for under $300. It seemed like an unattainable fantasy, but I saw this FiMi mini 3 drone on the website and it should fit the bill, so I immediately placed an order. I received it very quickly and couldn't wait to test fly it in my backyard and community park. The drone performed perfectly the first time, the flight was very stable, and the photos taken were clear and colorful. The 4K60fps video is smooth and vivid, and does not require any editing, which is pleasing to watch and share directly online. There are many other features that you don't usually find on beginner drones, such as waypoints and tracking; impressively, you can track for 10 minutes without missing a target. Quickshot must also be very fun, creating short videos like hovering in an instant. I will use it one by one and enjoy it. For a cheap beginner drone, it has too many advantages. This is the only 4K60fps drone! This is the best drone I bought this year. ... show more

  • Fimi Mini 3 alot of great features. worth the price
Style: FIMI MINI 3 Combo (64-mins)
The Fimi Mini 3 drone has been fun to fly and simple to navigate. This is my first drone and the learning curve was very minimal. The 4k video and camera is very impressive. Fimi definitely put thought into their beginner app settings to safe guard your flights until you get more comfortable.

  • An absolutely frustrating disappointment!
Style: FIMI MINI 3 Combo (64-mins)
This was one of my worst experiences with a product in my 64 years of life! I spent approx $400 bucks thinking I'd go with a good, middle class product and enjoy it for a long time! What a disappointing mistake! - 1st What sold me... The product description, it covered all the bases and then some! And then... -2nd Receiving the drone, it took forever to pair with iPhone to the frustrating point I wanted to send it back! Yes, it was that bad! Finally paired and my excitement level heightened... But then... -3rd The battery life drained from dinkin' around trying to pair it. And the few minutes of battery life that remained got chewed up with the dizzy thing's erratic behavior! "Ok, I thought it might be me not fully understanding something?" Called it quits for now. -4th. It took beyond ridiculously long to recharge! I took the time to scour and digest the pdf manual! Now I got this thing! Ha! -5th Two days later, weather was good, very slight breeze, time to fly After a few "touch n' goes" I was starting to have fun, BUT... it started to freak out again! Erratic flight like it had a mind of it's own! Fortunately, it was close enough where I plucked it out of the air! Yup! Grabbed it's underside while in flight and was able to turn it off! (My old Spidey/Ninja skills at their best! 😂) Shut everything down and frustratingly rebooted. And then... -6th Batteries drained, try next day... As you can tell, the batteries drain quickly. But later read, best use is between about 55° - 80°, and wind should be minimal! Next day struggled with a cpl touch n' goes. Hit the RTH button and it started to land which I thought was cool until it pulled an Ellon Musk on me! It landed then jumped up off the platform and flipped! Bounced itself to a 18" drop to the ground! Picked the dizzy thing up, all "appeared" to be good, BUT... Now the Gimbal was shot! Camera couldn't be directed in any direction! Battery was now done so that wad it for the day! Back inside, the camera rotated smooth and free in every direction. I'd read where other guys crashed their drones many times without issue. Should a back flop of 18" have rendered this "high quality" camera, high quality drone inoperative? Gets better... -7 It's been a week of mishaps. Read and reread the manual. Finally Amazon said I could send it back, so I boxed it up. Weather here in wintery PA was bad so I couldn't drive to the nearest Kohls right away as they're a half hour away. With winding, hilly, snowy roads, the mountain logging roads I live on were glare ice, I was land locked! Oh well, more time to research drones. Now I'm finding a lot of these drones are having similar issues! But one last idea! So I unboxed everything again, "REINSTALLED" the app and spent forever pairing it again! All to no avail. This piece of over priced plastic was just as bad as before! Boxed it up again, weather cleared and back it went! "BUT!!!!!" As of this review, it's been over a week since I dropped the drone off at Kohls. From Kohl's here in PA to the return center in NJ is about a 3 hr drive and... It's still "in transit!" WHAT! So do your homework and check the negative reviews. Don't settle on the 5 star happy reviews either. Notice how most of these drones have the same footprint! And have the same issues! Remember, even on YT they're trying to sell a product so all the reviews are wonderful. Do your research then make your decision. I really really wanted this thing to work too! Absolute disappointment! ... show more

  • Signal starts to break up at 1000 ft distance.
Style: FIMI MINI 3 Combo (64-mins)
This is a great drone. The only complaint I have is the video feed breaks up at 1000 feet. To be fair I didn't try both frequencies. I was in 5.8. I'll try 2.4 and let you know. Great camera. Perfect response from the controller. If the video didn't break up it would compete with the dji mini 3. I have a dji mini 3 and I like the camera on the fimi mini 3 better as far as pics. ... show more

  • So far I'm impressed! Best one I can find in this class that's not outrageously expensive.
Style: FIMI MINI 3 Combo (64-mins)
I did my research when buying this drone - fly time, battery cost, video features and stability are all important. I wanted something under 250g so I didn't have to bother with a license (I'm just a hobbyist, mostly flying around my own property.) Batteries can be had cheap (~$50) if you look in the right places as well. It has a 3 axis gimbal so the video is VERY smooth. No vibrations come through, and it keeps it nice and level. There's a bunch of cool features I haven't even had a chance to get into yet (not to mention it's 4k at 60 FPS!) The remote is very clever too - the way it expands and connects to your phone directly (it comes with three different cables to ensure you're covered.) All of it fits inside the included little case; I'm still shocked how tiny it is. Flight time is around 25-30 minutes per battery and it comes with 2 batteries and a USB charger (that will charge both at the same time.) No indication of charge status though, outside of the light going off when it's fully charged. (Every bit of weight counts!) Be sure to get a good microSD card for this. Look for one that says something about 4K video and has a high write rate. Also has a "night mode" that can take some spectacular shots but I haven't tried that yet. Controls are mostly intuitive but I had a tough time figuring out a few of the advanced ones (like panorama.) Plenty of YT videos out there that explain it though, if you get lost. Came with extra blades too, in case you bonk it into something. Speaking of which, that was the only thing this didn't have - obstacle avoidance. If you're like me and just taking it up for overall shots and don't really fly around a bunch of obstacles it's not a big deal. Definitely a change coming from a Phantom 3 4K I bought ages ago. So much smaller, flies just as easy (if not easier) and charges with USB-C instead of proprietary chargers. No license needed, no remote ID needed, nothing. Considering the price it's one heck of a drone! ... show more
