As most have mentioned, the directions aren't the greatest. Don't think part A, a side, will be one of the first parts , it's not. It's the very last! The door and the slide-in back panel pieces (F) MUST be put on first. The door has pins that fit in on the top and the bottom on the right side. After dropping the little Allen wrench 3 times, I went out to the garage and got a T-handle 3mm Allen wrench and things went a lot faster. Nice that the tools were included. I received an extra piece of hardware of each type, which is easy better than being shorted! I have temporarily stuck self-adhesive stickers (not included) over the shiny screw heads, but the color isn't a good match as can be seen in the last pic. I will probably touch the heads up with paint or a nail polish for a better hiding method. In the second picture, I have shown partial loaves of bread on the top shelf. The bottom shelf shows a full package of bagels, but I had to turn it sideways as the door wouldn't shut tight. The magnet isn't very strong, so if anything sticks out the slightest, the door won't stay shut. I chose this bread box because it didn't come out onto the counter area as much as the lower, longer style. Plus, it was time for a change. Oh, my husband doesn't like the fact that light can get through the PLASTIC, not glass as described, and bread could mold faster so I will put some window film on the inside of the plastic, which is the smooth side. I think it looks very nice and I am happy with it. Gave 5 stars for the completed item, no dinging for vague instructions! ... show more

Pros: •Interior accommodates approximately two 10" loaves and maybe a few smaller items. •Front plastic window resembles glass from a distance, which enhances it's overall look. •Easy assembly with unique alphabetic stickers for correct piece placement. •Door opens and closes smoothly, and has a decent magnet clasp. Cons: •Box arrived damaged despite appearing to be adequately packaged. •Subjective pictures make the box appear larger than it's actual dimensions. •Thin back panel are definitely prone to breakage, especially if handled roughly. •Bamboo quality may vary, with the cheaper planks being more susceptible to damage. •Some rough feeling patches and a large splinter present upon receipt. •Non-adjustable shelf level limits the customization options. ... show more

Our family likes bread, so a good-sized bread box seems only natural for the kitchen, and this one definitely is doing the trick so far. First of all, I'm a stickler for products looking and performing as advertised...what I see and what I got appear to be one in the same. Setup wasn't too difficult...everything you need comes with the box, including tools (free screwdriver and hex wrench!), with all parts labeled to coordinate with the directions. There are only a few steps as far as putting everything together, and in all it took about 20-25 minutes. Someone with more finesse could probably put it together in under 20 minutes easy, but a novice should still be good inside a half-hour. I was admittedly surprised with the weight...the description says bamboo, so it might be light or flimsy, but it's construction is quite thick and sturdy, though the back has a thinner panel that is secured by the rest of the box, rather than screwed into place. The surface of the bread box is sleek, making cleaning off dust or crumbs as simple as wiping with a cloth. The door swings open from the left (doesn't look like that can be changed, based on the interior grooves and holes, and uses a magnet to close, which feels secure. Space inside the bread box is good for two normal sized bread loaves (such as what you'd buy from a grocery store), though the shelves are roomy and easily have room to stack in thinner packages like hot dog or hamburger buns. Note the dimensions in the product description before trying to shove baguettes or the like in there though. You can also place items on top if you need the surface space. All in all, very satisfied with this product! ... show more
