I've started making cupcakes for family birthday parties instead of a cake. Several reasons were portion control, not having to take extra plates and utensils, and keeping little hands off the cake decorations. I did not have a good way to transport the cupcakes so after researching, I decided on the Top Shelf Elements Cupcake Carrier. I made the right choice. There is plenty of height for homemade cupcakes with frosting. Neither the bottom nor top cupcakes came close to hitting. It is a sturdy carrier, but I do make sure I have one hand on the bottom for support, which I would do for any carrier. The side snaps close firmly and do require a little effort to unlock but I prefer that over snaps that come open too easily. It holds 24 homemade cupcakes, which is what a cake mix package makes. I am very happy with my purchase.

I bought two of these so that I could transport 48 cupcakes to a party. It is nice that the carrying case can also be used to serve the cupcakes. I found this case to be very functional, and I don't regret purchasing it. However, I am a little disappointed in that it feels like cheap plastic, and I find it difficult to open and close the clasps. I am hoping that over time the clasps will loosen up and it will be easier. It does seem airtight and durable though.

I made it from Denver to Albuquerque for a baby shower with these cupcakes in perfect condition. Through TSA to the airplane and even the bumpy rental car shuttle ride they arrived looking beautiful. Now, if I had it to do over again I'd use some sturdy tape on the underside just for a little more security. If you're not careful the top can shift a bit and it could become unstable. I had to adjust it a couple of times. It also worked well for storing cupcakes at home. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase. I'm very happy I bought it and definitely recommend it!

This cupcake carrier is a decent product but does have some design flaws. I love using it but be aware that the latches are not totally secure. With that being said. Never carry from the top handle, always from the bottom. Another thing is if you like having designs on the top of the cupcakes, or thicker frosting, their isn't much room and the lid and top level touch the cupcakes, smearing the design or frosting. If you stick to basic cupcakes you should be fine.
