As others have noted, the higher price point on this item is the reason for four stars instead of five. And although I liked using the serum and it didn't have any negative influence on my skin (this is significant because I live in a humid area, so sometimes even the lightest serums end up clogging up my pores) it just didn't make a huge difference to justify continued usage, especially at this price point. Even though I know there isn't any "magic potion" to make my skin look ten years younger, some serums and creams do make a pretty significant difference, enough to make me *feel* better about my skin. I didn't feel that this particular serum did that for me. I'm 44, I have lived in Florida for 20 years and have significant sun exposure and freckles (despite endless applications of sunblock) and I find that some serums really do make my skin look fresher. The Ultra-Lifting Serum didn't really do that for me. I DO very much like the idea of the applicator, though- I really do believe that a lot of serums/creams harbor bacteria just from the least amount of touch from fingers/application, so I appreciate the thought that went into that.

The best cream

It is REALLY hard to get the thing primed so it actually spits out product onto the roller, I thought it was broken (and there’s no other way to get the product, you can’t twist off the cap as an alternative). After a good 15 minutes of messing with it, it finally started working, but still...I’m not sure a smooth metal roller is the best method for even distribution of a creamy product onto skin. I always have to rub it in with my fingers anyway because there is always a big blob of it somewhere & none at all in other areas. So that’s one star down for me. But I have to admit, after 10 days, I can already see and feel a difference! My skin looks younger, brighter, and feels softer. At 47, I don’t look 17 again, but it really is helping. I like it a LOT! If they had an option to just twist the cap off & let you apply it manually, it would be perfect. But at $92/bottle, sadly I probably won’t buy it again. If you’re reading this and the price is suddenly less than $40, send me a comment because I’d pay that!

Filorga Lift Designer Ultra-Lifting Serum It is best suited to women 40+ whose skin is sagging or lacking firmness. It seems to depend on three factors to tighten and plump the skin. They claim to have: “Cellular Factors (which stimulates cell renewal and restore collagen and elastin synthesis), Collagen (marine collagen to boost natural collagen reserves) and Hyaluronic Acid (swells to lift sunken areas and redefine facial contours).” I’ve been using Hyaluronic Acid for several months and have seen an improvement in the condition of my skin around the eyes and mouth. I like the 1-2-3 punch you get with this Filorga product. I really like the innovative applicator. It has a button to release a small amount of product on to a roller that you can then roll on to your face. It feels so cool and refreshing. The main con I have is the price point. I have to see how long one container lasts before I commit to purchasing another.

This product has been great! It uses both chemical (the serum itself) and mechanical (a rolling applicator) means to keep your skin looking fresh and healthy. I haven't noticed any overnight results, but that's not to say that nothing is happening. The serum leaves me feeling refreshed. The sensation is very light--no strong tingles here. I generally like to feel a little something-something, but the light sensation makes this more suitable for folks with sensitive skin (I'd assume). The mechanics of this serum, however, are what really impress me. You press a button on the side of the bottle, and the perfect amount of product is equally distributed across the length of the roller. You then glide the roller (which rolls with a very smooth motion) effortlessly across your face. No nook, cranny, bump, lump, or nose trips up this roller. The best part? The roller is just like a massage. I didn't know what I was missing out on! You're supposed to use these types of products on your neck, but I rarely do that just because it's an added minute of work. This roller, however, was just the encouragement I needed to start. It feels so nice on those tense jaw/neck muscles. The product did come with some assembly required (minor, but it took me a minute because I didn't know what it was supposed to look like and I was afraid to break it). I'm not sure if this was on purpose, to prevent leaking in travel (remember, pressing the button releases product), or if it was an error. For a $100 item, I don't really want to put in any effort. So, if it detached accidentally, I'd ask for better quality control. If it was detached on purpose to prevent product leakage, maybe I'd just invest in some better packaging. But, that's my only complaint.

I have been using the Laboratoires Filorga Paris Lift-Designer Ultra-Lifting Serum as my lifting serum for a few weeks now, and it continues to hold back the ravages of time. In addition to liking the serum, I am impressed with the dispenser. You pump the conveniently-located pump with one finger. It pumps easily, even for arthritic hands. It dispenses an appropriate amount onto a metal roller. The metal roller feels cool and soothing on your face, and the serum applies easily. The only problem is that the container tips easily and has, more than once, come crashing down out of the medicine cabinet. One time the roller popped off. I, sadly, did not realize it and went to roll on my serum with the scratchy roller supports. I do not recommend it. Happily the roller snapped back on but, if you drop it, make sure your roller is in place.
