Great item, but grossly over priced. Buyer’s remorse set in upon calculating how much this listing cost per gram - WAY above the spot price. I can really only blame myself. Before purchasing, I suggest one consider the following: 1 oz = 28.34952 g. This listing is for 50 g of silver. The market price of silver as of this review is just under $22 per once. That is a mark-up of over 100%. While these one gram rounds cost money to melt, refine, and mint and still strike me as handsome and practical, (for an item of this sort) no reputable seller ventures much beyond 10-20% above the current market value of silver. ... show more

At first I was surprised by the cost per gram, but when I went online to buy 1 gram silver from the normal exchanges, I found the price per gram to be in the 4.50 to 5.50 EACH. 25 Grams would cost 125.00 plus shipping. That makes this a great deal for those looking to buy very small pieces of silver bullion. >.. Obviously, Mint Stat Gold mints it's own silver gram size bullion rounds. And sells them in bulk at a cheaper price than the other online sellers. >.. When the crunch comes [if ever it does] having pure bullion in small sizes allows better bargaining than if all you have in 1 ounce bars or rounds.
