Pieces do not fit together properly. Circular metal posts often do not fit into the holes on the shelf supports. Makes it impossible to build the unit.     • Don’t waste your money
Cheap, wobbly, way too many pieces to self assemble takes way too long all the pieces have to be connected. The actual shelf part where you rest your items is thin cheap warped plastic. This can’t be on display somewhere you have to use it inside a closet and you can’t use it for anything fragile because one tap and the whole things going down. Not worth the price or the wait. I purchased an inexpensive shelf system. OK, cheap. And although it seems to serve OK, it was a large pain to assemble. There are no fasteners, only friction fitting of thin metal tubing and plastic structure. Unless you are a sumo wrestler with an engineering degree, the 'press fit' of everything is tough going.     • Be comfortable building furniture
If you are comfortable building ikea furniture, this ones a great buy. I like how lightweight it is, but it can hold tall books that dont fit on other book shelves. It looks great it my daughters room! Without weight it can move around alot, so I put heavy on the bottom and lighter stuff up top. I did chip a shelf as I was building, it is kinda thin before combining all the pieces and I was using a soft hammer but it was only cosmetic and I cant notice it now thats its put together. ... show more

    • Impossible to put together
Worse shelves ever! You need a rubber hammer to put them together. Cheap plastic. If you make any mistake you cant get it apart to fix it. Buyer beware. The cheap price should be your clue to avoid these shelves. I threw all the parts away after 90 minutes of trying to put it together.
