Features

  • Universal Compatibility & Plug and Play: This telescope camera offers a seamless "plug and play" experience without the need for complex driver installations. It is fully compatible with Windows (XP/7/8/10/11), Mac OS, and Linux. Simply connect the camera to your laptop or PC via USB to start your celestial journey, making it an ideal digital eyepiece for modern astronomers.
  • High-Definition 1080P Real-Time Viewing: Equipped with a 2.0-megapixel CMOS sensor, this astronomy camera delivers crisp, true-color images at 1920x1080 resolution. In JPEG compression mode, it achieves a high frame rate of up to 30fps, ensuring smooth real-time video streaming for moon, planet, or terrestrial observation without lag.
  • Standard 1.25 Fit & Filter Thread: Designed with a standard 1.25-inch interface, this camera for telescope fits most entry-level and professional telescopes. It features a built-in M28.5x0.6 internal thread, allowing you to easily attach standard 1.25" astronomical filters to enhance contrast and detail during astrophotography sessions.
  • Durable Aluminum Alloy Construction: The camera body is crafted from high-quality aluminum alloy, ensuring it is lightweight (110g) yet exceptionally durable for outdoor use. The metal housing acts as an efficient heat sink, effectively dissipating heat to reduce thermal noise and maintain superior image quality during long-exposure star gazing.
  • Integrated UV/IR Cut Filter: Our astrophotography camera comes with a removable UV/IR cut-off filter. This crucial feature blocks unwanted infrared and ultraviolet light, protecting the sensor and providing more natural color balance. It ensures that your photos of the lunar surface or bright planets remain sharp and color-accurate.
  • Replacing Traditional Eyepieces for Comfort: By replacing the traditional optical eyepiece, this telescope eyepiece camera allows multiple users to view the night sky simultaneously on a screen. This setup reduces neck and eye strain during long observation sessions, making it perfect for educational demonstrations or group astronomy parties.
  • Versatile Usage for Hobbyists: Whether you are capturing high-resolution photos of the Moon and Saturn or observing distant terrestrial landscapes, this entry-level camera provides a user-friendly gateway to astrophotography. It is an excellent gift for astronomy enthusiasts, students, and hobbyists looking to record their cosmic discoveries.

  • Planetary camera
I bought this camera not knowing what to expect. For the money it's a great value. I was able to capture Jupiter and see banding with just my cheap Celestron 60 Travelscope. With a higher quality scope It seems like it would work even better. It's easy to use. Plug and play. I highly suggest SharpCap. However works well with most programs. Great beginner camera or for someone who is on a tight budget. Also I believe it would be great for education purposes. You can display what your scope is viewing to a larger group of individuals. For example a class of students. ... show more

  • Works as designed.(i guess)
Nice camera for the beginner. Hooked it up to my C11 and laptop. Nice images of planets. Never used for anything else yet.

  • Well built and durable, but didnt work for my needs.
It may have been my setup by the field of view was very small, not even close to seeing the entire moon. Considering this, it seems best suited for distant objects, but the resolution is not high enough to make those images clear, so it's not a good fit for me. Seems well built and durable.

  • Camera for telescope
Perfect, needs a 2" eye relief but other than that it's amazing and simple to use.

  • First test images.
Just got my first telescope a Sky-Watcher Heritage 150 and wanted a cheap camera to learn and experiment with, so I rolled the dice on this one. I've got cloudy weather predicted for the next week so no astrophotography images yet. Just wanted to get a few examples up for others to see. This is a power transformer that according to google maps is 1462 feet away. One pic is camera only and 2nd pic is with a 2x barlow. I'm a mac user and the only processing done was the auto color levels in the preview app. ... show more

  • Works, but not for compound telescopes.
Works as advertised. But definitely not for compound telescopes. Best for long focal length, refractors or reflectors. Image quality is impressive.
