This is my second one of this same model and size reel. Even the boxes are exactly the same with exactly the same information printed on them. I bought the first one a few years ago. They both have boxes stating they are 2 speed-reels, but they are single speed which is what I expected. The one I bought a few years ago has no branding or information on the reel itself while this one has a brand name of "NONSUCH CL6000" and "NOEBY" etched on the reel. There is also a 2-speed version of this reel on Amzon for a little more money. The one I got a few years ago has a smooth and repeatable drag system while the new one does not. I'm fairly sure a little drag grease will solve (or help) the issues with the drag. It will not give even roughly the same drag weight with the same settings two times in a row the way it is. I would be very careful using it as is. If the drag issue can be fixed, I'd say it's a good reel for the cost. It's actually a dual drag reel that appears to be a rough copy of the drag system on an American made Accurate "Twin Drag" reel. I have a few but they cost 5 to 6 times as much money as this reel. You certainly will get smooth and repeatable drag settings with the American reel. Since this is the same reel I bought years ago that had a good drag system, I feel certain I can find and fix the issue with this one. I can't be positive greasing the drag washers will fix the issue completely, but I am certain it can't make it worse. This thing can give a satisfactory drag at strike position one time and go into full lockup the next. I don't know if this one is a lemon or if they all would be like this. At any rate I'm willing to do a little work to the reel because of the extremely low price. If this was a $300 to $600 jigging reel, it would already be on its way back as a return. Other than the drag issue (which is a huge issue), the build quality and looks of the reel are excellent for the price. I'm glad it doesn't look as bad as the drag functions (not functions) or it would be going back with a 1-star review.

Was going out fluking in about 120 feet of water. Didn't want to spring for 285 for an avet. This reel is excellent for the price!. Well made and works as good as the avet.

feels like quality. smooth drag clicker feels substantial narrower size but still holds a lot of line we put 60lb mono prob 125yds and then about 250yds 60lb braid. handle is sick. would recommend.
