I purchased this for my two dogs. They have a large dog house that sits under a covered patio, but for cold days, I wanted something more for them. Set up was easy. The brackets are pretty strong, and the build of the heater itself seems okay, but I’m not sure how long it would hold up if dropped. Luckily, the dogs left it alone, so it made it through the winter just fine despite my worries. The cord lasted, too; though I wish the anti-chew protection extended throughout the entire cord. I like that it has a temperature display and a low and high setting. It heats quickly, and you can feel it from up to a few feet away. It would be nice if there were a remote to turn it on and off. With that being said, I appreciate that it shuts off on its own when it reaches a high temperature, in case we fall asleep or if the house gets warmer faster than we expect. It can also be used on the floor, so we can easily take it in the house to make sure their indoor sleeping area stays warm as well.

Ordered it last night, got it today. I’m a bit disappointed as it did not come with the wall mounting bracket or anything of the screws as seen in the pictures. I don’t have any screws at the moment, now I have to go try and find some. Was hoping to set it up tonight as we are getting bad weather tomorrow.

This outdoor doghouse heater is a nice addition where our dog's sleep. We reside in a cold mountainous climate and during the winter month's we need a little extra heat at time's so our animals stay warm. This outdoor doghouse heater was a big help with the animals and the severe weather we just had. It's made very well and of quality materials. It's small but heavy duty. I appreciate the no chew cord but I've had no issue's with any of my animals wanting to use it aa a chew toy. The heater is placed on a small table near where my animals dog beds are. It puts out some nice even heat. When I went to check my dog's just and arms or two reach away both my pitties and my two cats were all laying on their backs sprawled out like a bunch of fur rugs. They were snug as bugs rugs in this instance. They were warm, happy and I was in hysterics laughing at the postion they were laying in. Life is so hard for them. Lol So spoiled! I like that the hester is pet friendly and the safety features are more geared for pets. My dog has knocked the heater over with his tale a few time's when getting up or down from the couch and the heater shuts off right away. It's heavy duty and can take a tail whooping like no one's business. My pets enjoy the heater and that's what matters the most. Its a nice product and well worth the purchase.

We have a stray cat that stays in the carport at night. We set her up with this and it seems to perform as advertised. If you put it in a doghouse, it needs to be a large house.
