Master virtually any material and application thanks to the robust build and flexibility of the Carvex design. The newly upgraded Li-HighPower battery pack and maintenance-free brushless EC-TEC motor means that the Carvex is light, long-lasting, and durable. The 4.0 Ah Bluetooth enabled battery pack lets you attach to any Festool Bluetooth®-compatible CLEANTEC (CT) Mobile Dust Extractors and start/stop it automatically when the cordless Carvex is switched on/off. With multiple baseplates for cutting wood, wood-like materials, plastics, and metals, the Carvex adapts to any application. Simplify set-ups for angle cuts with an all-new Adjustable Angle Base (sold separately) with rotary adjust knob. And a tool-free exchange system allows for quick and easy base changes. Cut with ease and control with unparalleled ergonomics, a dual-access power switch, and low vibration. Perfect visibility of the cut line is enhanced by the quad-LED, stroboscopic system that penetrates through darkness and dust. Interchangeable Base System - The tool-free changing system allows you to choose between several task-specific bases (sold separately) to match your application, and to make those changes in seconds. The Angle Base is adjustable +/- 45° for inside and outside corners, and it has two beveling feet that provide greater stability and accuracy when making those cuts. A Steel Base plate is available for metal-cutting applications. A Guide Rail Adapter Base gives you the ability to use Festool guide rails for straight, accurate cuts and also serves as the base for attaching the circle and radius cutting accessory. Use the Hook-and-Loop Base Plate with replaceable felts to prevent scratches on delicate materials. A Dimpled Base plate is available for uneven surfaces and is low-friction. The Hard Fiber Base Plate has an ultra- smooth surface with low friction. Tool-Less Blade Changes & Carbide Guides - The Carvex features a new patented tool-free blade chuck. Simply insert the blade and give it a twist to lock it into the chuck. Use the release trigger on the side of the jigsaw to eject the blade. No more grabbing a hot blade to remove it. Festool jigsaws utilize Triple Blade Guidance for perfectly perpendicular cuts and splinterguards for tear-free cuts. The carbide guides virtually eliminate blade deflection, even when cutting in materials as thick as 4-3/4 inches. That means you can cut with the confidence of knowing your end results will be perfectly perpendicular. A clear replaceable plastic splinterguard prevents chipping. Super Visibility - Four high-intensity white LEDs surround the blade on every side to reduce shadows that may interfere with your cut line. At speed, the LEDs synchronize to the speed of the blade causing it to appear to stop moving improving your ability to follow your cut line. The LEDs can be configured to be always on, always off, or stroboscopic. The chip guard can be adjusted vertically to provide optimal visibility while retaining excellent dust extraction. The chip guard can also be completely removed. The integrated blower moves dust away from the cut line when dust extraction is not being used. Brushless Motors - Festool's EC TEC brushless moters offer significant advantages over motors with brushes, including higher efficiency and reliability, reduced noise, and longer service life to name a few. This helps Carvex jigsaws outperform other jigsaws, especially cordless models, that would otherwise be in the same class. Brushless motors are as much as 39% more powerful than an equivalent brushed motor and extend battery life. The Carvex's variable speed blade speed is capable of an extremely fast max 3,800 strokes per minute. On the D-Handle models of the Carvex, the auxiliary trigger on the handle can be used to regulate the speed of the cut in addition to the variable speed dial.
