The full unit HEPA Certified Main Filter is externally accessible for easy replacement. The CT 15 also features an intuitive touch control panel instead of rotary knobs for extremely simple operation - even when dirt builds up or when wearing gloves. Crevice and upholstery nozzle cleaning accessories are included and stored within the top compartment of the extractor. The flat top of the storage compartment means that work materials and other tools are always within reach. And when the work is done, you can clean off tools and equipment by attaching the dust hose to the unit's external blower port. I occasionally do body work as a hobby. Sanding body filler or fiberglass generates a LOT of fine dust. My old shop vac managed to remove dust from the tool and scatter it over the entire shop. I’ve heard good things about the Festool HEPA vacs, but being an amateur didn’t need the massive capacity of their large models. Besides, they all have the same cfm and my garage is wee. I’ve used it for a week now, triggered by my Festool 5” sander. The combination is incredible! I haven’t had to change the bag yet and my shop is dust free. ... show more

    • Best vaccum I have ever owned. PERIOD.
Very well designed. The paper bag system is simply put...the best. This vaccum retains suction even with an almost full bag. Bought during renovations. Used for drywall sanding and everything else. After 2 full bags of debris the hepa filter is still clean and the container holding the bag is clean. Amazing. The bags are removed with no contamination escaping (a great feature if you are removing fine dust or other nasty stuff). I sometimes let the vaccum run just to clear the air of wood dust generated during sawing. My only regret is that I didn't purchase one with the blue tooth start-up feature. A little on the pricey side but in my opinion worth every penny. ... show more

    • Great power for its size
PROS: Great suction power for its size, light weight, very well built, automatic turn on feature built in, long power cord, low-ish noise, bags are reusable. CONS: Not much capacity, supplied hose is good but not great, only two of the four wheels swivel. All in all this little vacuum is well worth the money. The cons I listed are not deal breakers in my opinion and really aren't worth complaining about since the unit itself is so well made. I would recommend upgrading to the green hose when you get a chance because the hose ends will work with other tools unlike the supplied hose. Cheers! ... show more

great suction in a HEPA format. A great feature is that you can plug a tool into the vacuum and it will turn the vacuum on and off when you turn on the sander or other tool. On the negative side, the cord has no garage and the hose is tied down on the top. I bought a bigger hose garage at additional cost, now the next thing is to find an optional way to store the cord. Bags are expensive, so I bought a reusable bag that can be emptied and reused. it is well made and should pay for itself over time. ... show more

    • This is a great dust vacume.
We bought this to vacuum dust in our shop, as shop vacs tend to send fine dust everywhere coating everything with dust. This "Dust Exactor" is not a normal shop vacuum. It's a more refined tool for fine dust. When vacuuming fine dust it puts zero dust back into the room, as the hepa quality bad and filter get it all. Wonderful quality. Bags are actually cheaper for this than a traditional throw away shop vac from the box stores. This dust extractor really is the best. Nothing beats it.
