  • Tool built for heavy duty work.
Like all Festool, extremely well designed and engineered. All the controls add a level of precision that is very desirable. The price is high, but the quality and performance - and hopefully the endurance- are worth it.

  • Great product
I like the grip, the lock and unlock is in the handle and so is the on/off button. So it makes it very easy to control it. Does not have any vibration. It is however a pretty large router

  • Beautiful
Heavy, enough weight so that it won't move out of hand, other routers I have Dewalt. Bosch moves in the first second, easy to go out of control with high spinning bit, This Festool beauty combined with guide rail is joy to use.

  • I love Festool tools
like all Festool tools this router is well thought out and a joy to use. Ive been using a 2 inch bit to flatten a slab and the router handles it with ease. the controls are clearly marked and easy to reach when the tool is on.

  • Costly but a real asset.
The only shortcoming of this quality router is its inability to be inserted in a router table. It is a tremendous plunge router with fine adjustment and is a great asset to any shop where woodworking occurs. The accessory kit converts free hand to guide rail useage for extremely straight dados and inlay work. Priceing is a bit on the highside but the factory all inclusive warranty is a nice buffer over cost. Hard maple to bostic birch is no problem. I would buy a stripped down router table version of the same router if it was available. ... show more

  • It's like buying a Corvette with no wheels
Nearly $1100 with tax ! Festool is probably the only company that ships a router with only 1 damn collett ( 1/2" ). Festool needs to add more accessories in the box for that price .
