I just purchased my third Felsley Guitar Kit. On one of my prior guitars I had a minor issue in which I contacted customer service. Olivia S. from customer service was very responsive to my inquiry and was able to help troubleshoot the issue with just a few photographs and a short video. Once the issue was diagnosed the repair was made and the guitar sounds great. I just want to say that Olivia went above and beyond to make sure my issue was resolved and that I was happy with the outcome. I would highly recommend the Felsley guitar kits if you are looking to assemble your own guitar, and should you need customer service Olivia is a great help.

The media could not be loaded. Bought this kit to have a little fun. It met that goal. The hardest part by far is figuring out how you want to finish the body of the guitar. Once you have that figured out you can assemble in a few hours. I had three issues with the build. The book with instructions has great pictures to follow, however, it fails to tell you which length screws to use where. That would have been helpful and prevented a little back tracking. My second issue was the fact that it was missing 6 small screws for the tuners. By the time I knew this I already had the body stained and finished. The only way to get the screws would have been to return to Amazon. My third issue was the pre-drilled holes had some mis-match. This occurred for 3 holes. The holes are hid under components so I just needed to make new holes. Overall, I am happy with the end product but it could have been a better experience. First electric guitar and it seems to function well. Vendor added contact information to page. They are very willing to help. Make sure to contact them NOT Amazon for assistance.

I’ve been building and customizing guitars since the early '90s, and this kit was an absolute blast to put together. My wife surprised me with it for my birthday, knowing I wanted a Les Paul-style guitar that I could customize. She chose the Fesley DIY LP Style Electric Guitar Kit with a mahogany body/neck and a flamed maple veneer top—great choice! The kit included everything I needed, and assembly was smooth. After building it, I gave it a matte black finish with a chrome splatter, replicating a guitar I used to play on stage back in the '80s. Once set up and fine-tuned, it plays great—the neck is fast and comfortable, and the hardware and electronics are solid for this price. Honestly, it holds up surprisingly well next to my Epiphone Les Paul Custom. Great project, great price, and awesome customer service from Fesley. Highly recommended for beginners and experienced builders alike!

The kit's quality out paces the cost. Two upgrades are recommended, locking tuners and upgraded bridge. Other than that you are good to go. The neck is dead on straight.

Assembly was easy, but be sure to examine the photos carefully. The directions aren’t like LEGO. You might install things backwards or use the wrong screws. I did not use the included strings. I used a set of super light nickel strings. Plays great. I’ll probably buy another one of their models. For the price, they are very good quality.

EDIT: I didn’t receive any of the screws required to assemble the guitar. It was very disappointing. So now I just have a disassembled Guitar and all of the parts but no way to assemble it. After my initial review, they responded promptly and mailed me out replacement screws. This company had excellent communication. The overall product is great and will be fun to assemble.
