Easy to put together and contained my angry kitties great for their vet visit! I did have a little trouble with remembering which side of the door was unlocked (it opens both ways) and had the door fall off a few times, but that was more user error and was easy to put back on! Over all pretty good!

I bought this for my kitten for travel to vet n out of town. Can't say if it works for air flight. It is hard plastic. Works for my needs. I would recommend for vet n car travel, not sure that it's sturdy for air flight.

I got two of these carriers to take my two semi feral cats to the vet to be spayed. When the cages arrived, I was dismayed at the cheap quality of the plastic hinge pins on the door. They are like the little plastic pins on the side of CD cases basically. Very brittle and small. Also they are very difficult to insert properly into the latches which are not only cheap as well, but prone to bend out of position with any pressure on the walls of the cage.. The worst came to worst when one of the cats popped the door right off one of the hinge pins and got out. This was on the morning of a spay surgery that I waited two months for. I got her into the cage again and the hinge pins were so ill fitting and the plastic was so flimsy that she managed to bend The door frame enough to pop the door off again. Even with my hand trying to hold the door closed she pushed her way out. And I had spent time beforehand actually practicing getting the door closed and getting the pins seated properly and latched, because I knew it would be a problem. I got the other cat into the cage OK, she was less wild. But in the car ride to the vet office, she was bending the door outward and I finally had to turn the cage around, with the door against the back of the car seat, and reach back with one arm to keep pushing the cage against the back of the seat to wedge the cage door shut. (When I picked my cat up after surgery, the vet tech who brought her to me said that the carrier door “kept popping off”) In my opinion this cage is pretty useless unless you have a small and docile animal that will not try to get out, but even then, it is still very difficult to get the door properly latched and could be a big escape risk. I’m giving it two stars just hoping I can get some sort of wire jerry rigging to get the door closed in future; other than the door the cage itself seems flimsy but reasonable for the price. My advice, look for metal door with a usable latch and spend a few more bucks.

I like that this product was very easy to put together and it’s very light. I used to go transport my cat to be spayed. I didn’t like that it doesn’t seem very sturdy, I was afraid it was going to break.

Bought this for 2.5 lb dog to use when traveling in the car. It has the ability to be secured with a safety belt. The clear door can swing open in either direction but can become unlocked rather easily so it is important to make sure the locks are fully locked before picking up the carrier, etc. Would not recommend this for air travel.
