Update: This wee house is for abandoned kitty who came to me for help. She lives under machines in neighbor's yard. I have yet to see her use it so I'm hoping that does happen. The house is brilliantly designed and assembles easily in 10 minutes. The offset position of the door allows a small tub I filled with pine needle straw sprinkled with food grade diatomaceous powder for the kitty to use as a bed to help her feel safer in a bigger space than she's used to. There's also enough room for a small water bowl inside. The side that can be used to extend the space helps tremendously in pulling out the tub with straw for regular cleaning. This house does NOT come with the plastic door insert and it's expensive to buy separately but there are holes in the doorway frame to screw a DYI plastic insert. There are air vents on the wall across from the door but they are very small and narrow so I don't know how well they'll help with cross ventilation but they might help in cooler weather to keep body warmth in. I will use this house only in the warmer months. One suggestion for improvement: Extend the front of the roof another 3-4 inches. Update: Downgrade from 5 star to 1. This house is in a protected porch. After a big storm, the roof inside was wet so the plastic used is not waterproof. How can that be? The walls also were damp. I surround the doghouse with stone slabs to keep it dark inside from the streetlights. Even then, the doghouse and the blanket inside were damp. Returning. ... show more

Right out of the box. Step one was to put together the entrance door. A metal horseshoe provided needed to be inserted into the the curve of the entrance. After inserting it, there were two screws that needed to be screwed in at the base.Here's the issue. You can't screw it in unless you have a electric screw driver bc there is no hole on the bottom of where you need to screw it into. So, we said screw it. The total set came with eights screws. We couldn't figure out where the rest of the six screws belong to. Even after watching the tutorial about thirty times. It took us about and hour and a half and finally said screw the screws, slap it together with the side walls and the roof had four washers that kept it tight. Five days later its still holding up. But very unhappy that we couldn't find where to screw in the six other damn screws. Love the product but the info both on the directions and the video really sucked. ... show more

Great for the rainy days in Florida. I have a petite "feral" and she has plenty of room inside. Well ventilated. Very easy to put together and super lightweight. Of course if there's a hurricane, I would bring shelter and kitty inside.
