  • Fit my guitar perfectly and looks so much better

  • As Expected.
Color: Gold Andonized Style: Right Hand Pattern: Modern Pickguard
This pickguard is exactly as expected. This went on a 95 MIA Stratocaster which normally uses an 11 hole design. HOWEVER, You will want to be aware that all holes will line up EXCEPT one, the one nearest the 5-way switch. I bought this model as opposed to the 11 hole design because it is very difficult to find 11-hole 1-ply pickguards. This pickguard will NOT lay totally flat EVEN IF YOU DRILL THE MISSING HOLE. I knew this before I started, so that was okay for me. If you do not drill out the missing hole, the section of the pickguard will be left raised way too far for most people's comfort. So it is highly advised that you do. If you have a 50's model Strat, this guard should work as flawlessly as the PG that your own came with. The only OTHER option is to drill another hole in the body of your guitar, a step that I was not willing to take. I am also willing to bet that if you DO drill a hole in the body, there will STILL be some raised section. ... show more

  • Very thin.
Color: Gold Andonized Style: Right Hand Pattern: Modern Pickguard
I bought this to replace the stick pickguard on my 50s Road Worn. The stock of is so thin and cheap. So I figured id spend a bit more and buy a replacement from fender. Well it must be period accurate. This expensive pg is just as cheap and flimsy. So I will just keep the original for now. I just prefer it not feeling like cheap thin plastic. ... show more

  • Even better than I thought it would be!
Color: Gold Andonized Style: Right Hand Pattern: Modern Pickguard
I have a MiM 2001 Classic Series '50s Strat in Surf Green. It came with the standard 11-screw 3-ply WBW pickguard. I really did not want to drill any holes, and, as it turns out, I didn't have to! Every one of the eight screw holes aligned perfectly with the corresponding holes in the body. In fact, someone must have routed this one out a bit too much, because the screw next to the 5-way switch was put in at an angle so that it would catch some wood. This pickguard totally hides that. The only thing you need to remember is to get a shielding plate. (That fit perfectly, as well.) The pickguard swap went perfectly. I'm getting another as a spare. ... show more

  • Doesn’t fit, is it defective? No shielding foil either
Color: Gold Andonized Style: Right Hand Pattern: Modern Pickguard
As someone stated before the the hole nearest the volume knobs is way off. At this point not sure if I want to try again and assume this one is defective or just stick with my original. I don’t want to drill new holes into the ‘94 electric that has made it fine without so far. Too bad for a genuine Fender product. ... show more

  • Exactly what I wanted
Color: Gold Style: Stratocaster - 8 Hole Pattern: Modern Pickguard
I was afraid after reading some other reviews that this would be too Yellow or too Orange for what I was wanting. But this one turned out to be the perfect deep gold that I was wanting to accent a darker burst Strat. Nothing too flashy but subtly gorgeous.

  • Genuine Fender Replacement
Color: Gold Andonized Style: Right Hand Pattern: Modern Pickguard
Perfect fit for 50's style Stratocaster. This was Leo's original design. He did a lot of things out of frugality that are now eponymous. Although less prone to warping a 3-ply just didn't look right.
