I wanted something for my 10 year old daughter that was similar to her mini strat. This had the right specs. She tuned it out of the box and it sounds amazing for it's size. I noodled on it for a while and enjoyed playing it. Great little guitar.

I bought mine from Amazon warehouse. It was perfect, so I assume the issue was with the box only. Came with a gig bag from Fender that is just a dust cover. Tuned up, settled in, nice and bright. A bit tinny, but it is tiny.. comes with Fender .12-.52 strings. Solid little guitar!

If you’re a seasoned player you will love this as a bang around guitar. It’s no larger than some toy guitars but it is anything but. When I got it there was some fret buzz and I wasn’t a fan of the stock strings (I use Ernie Ball Earthwood light on all of my acoustics), so after replacing the strings and adjusting the neck my thoughts on the Redondo mini completely changed! I can’t put it down! So easy to play while just watching tv. If you’re like me and enjoy quirky cheap guitars that you’re not afraid to bang around, you’ll love this. However, if you want something slightly bigger (and better) in the same price range go for a Gretsch Jim Dandy. That guitar is a step above this. I bought this since most of the songs I played are mid toned or higher. I was always putting my capo on 5th and 6th frets. I realized they have 1/2 size guitars in parlor shape that is perfect for all my favorite song ranges. I love the quality of the sound! At first I wasn’t sure how it felt compared to my usual guitar but after getting used to it…I can’t put it down!! ... show more
