I've been playing for over fifty years and have owned many guitars in just about every price category. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I give this guitar five stars (of course the price is a consideration). It annoys me when buyers have unrealistic expectations about the setup and playability of a guitar right out of the box...like whether it arrives in tune!?!? This guitar needed to be tuned, neck relief set, string height adjusted, intonation set, and so on. It's what you do, particularly if you're fussy about your setup and appreciated a guitar that plays well. I like the pickups, and the fact that the Mexican Fenders now have 22 frets. This particular Strat stays in tune very well, even with a full floating setup on the vibrato. Chap Stick on the nut slot helps a lot. The frets are fairly smooth right out of the box, so bends are smooth, although I'll be polishing them on the next string change. I like them glassy smooth. Sure, I have a couple of gripes. Fender, PLEASE stop using screw in vibrato arms. They wiggle too much and rattle around. Quit it! The fret ends on this guitar are sticking out a little and the rounding on the fret ends could be better. That said, I don't really notice it when I play, so it's something I can remedy when I feel like it. My previous Strat was an American Professional II, costing more than twice as much, and I don't have a sense that this is a lesser guitar (other than the screw in vibrato arm). This guitar is my current #1.

I bought this to replace a Standard Stratocaster from 2004. I think they called it Arctic White, back then. This is a better quality instrument than the earlier version. The pickups are miles ahead of the ceramic ones that Fender previously used. I checked mine over for any flaws. Didn't find a single one. Very nice fret work. It did, however; need a set up. I set mine to the suggested Fender specifications. I also added 2 tremolo springs to the 3 that were on it. This is an intermediate level instrument that can hold its own against any in this price range. I would highly recommend to anyone short of a professional muscian.

My Player Strat finally arrived on Wednesday-UPS was stuck in a big snow backup for a long time. I have to tell you, I was BLOWN AWAY when I opened the box. You guys not only nailed it with the guitar, but you included a Fender case, and the case was full of goodies like strap, cable, tuner, capo, strings and picks. Wow! Way more than I thought I ordered. I had to double-check my order, and that just confirmed that you guys included TONS of extras. I hear this is called “lagniappe,” or props for creating happy customers. Well that is DEFINITELY the case, because if I EVER need any gear, I am gonna be buying it from AUSTIN BAZAAR. I am loving the Strat, and having all of this good will with it makes it feel like the best deal on the best guitar EVER. Thank you so much! Graying GuitarMan, Redmond WA

I've been playing guitar for over 40 years and have had many guitars of many makes and models. This Strat may be my all-time favorite. It arrived on time, damage-free, and immediately playable (after bringing the strings up to pitch). The neck was straight, intonation perfect, and it stays in tune. I've been playing it for three days and can't find anything about it that I don't like. Highly recommended.

Even though it is under one thousand, it is an incredible sounding guitar. It is heavy and beautiful. Absolute perfection.

I was very concerned about how poorly it was packed and if it would be damaged and I'd have to return it but it seemed to be in good shape, The finish is immaculate. I've had the guitar for a week and I've only now finished setting it up. There was no attempt to even set up the bridge. it was all down flat with height screws all sticking out so it had to be set to radius from the ground up. Then truss rod and fresh set of strings and I'm glad I hung on to it. For guys that don't do your own work on your guitars and have someone to set it up for you. Fantastic guitar. If you don't, I'd really consider Sweetwater or an on line dealer like that who sets them up before shipping. I don't know if I'll get flagged for recommending a certain store but I assure you, I'm not endorsing anyone. Love the guitar though. Pic doesn't do it justice. finish is amazing. Love the orange. It's Pumpkin in case it doesn't look like it in the ad. Pretty bad ass. I like it.

Purchased in the US in September 2022. AMAZING. Allow me to dispel any myths about shipping or damages. The guitar came packed securely in a Fender box, everything installed, new strings, fresh setup. Even took it to my shop for a look, they said it was in great playable condition. Plays fantastic. Buy three.

Compared to the Yamaha Pacifica 612 I was playing, this player series guitar was a huge letdown. The neck feels fat and sloppy, like you're holding a Louisville Slugger. The tuners were fine, but I replaced them with locking tuners, as well as the cheap looking string tree with a nicer Fender one. Replaced the cheap plastic nut with a Graphtech as well as the cheap sounding Tex Mex pickups with Seymour Duncans, added a treble bleed and orange cap, gave it a full setup and now it is pretty damn nice but for a whole lot more than the Pacifica which comes with all those parts stock (no treble bleed) for much less. Also the overall fit and finish of the Fender is much less than any of the four Yamahas I've owned. To be fair, the Squier Classic Vibe 60's Telecaster I have is actually finished much nicer than this Strat. Would not buy again unless the price dropped a lot.
