Description

U.S.-designed Paramount Series acoustic instruments are finely crafted and specially voiced to bring your artistic vision to life. Each all-solid guitar offers many legacy design elements of classic '60s models, including checkerboard purfling and rosette, pickguard shape and abalone and mother-of- pearl "Concert Tone" fingerboard inlays. Even with this art deco look, Paramount instruments still retain their footing in modern design. Fender- and Fishman -designed PM preamp systems are specifically voiced for each body shape in the series, ensuring complete tonal control and variation. Includes a molded hardshell case with plush interior lining and a storage compartment.

Plays well, exhibits a balanced tone with much more low end than expected, excellent string spacing. Perfect for finger style players. The finish is well done and the instrumental resonates front to back. The frets will need some polishing it’s a 9 out of 10 on my check list.     • Strings 6-5 play great from open to last fret. #1 string... not so much. Disappointed.
As my life continues "on track," I wanted to celebrate some milestones with a guitar. I used to have a guitar throughout college, and even high school and enjoyed that I could hear what I was "feeling" in other words, this was not the first time I have picked up a guitar. The high "E" string doesn't play right at certain frets as if the neck has been ever so slightly warped (This is no matter how hard I press in and where on the fret). Very difficult to play Nothing else matters by Metallica with this issue. Worried that still it was me not having picked up a guitar in 6 years my friends felt the same issue. Though, this isn't the most expensive of guitars I paid a good some for something that does not live up to Fender and consumer expectations. ... show more

    • Great little guitar but overset neck makes it unplayable
I returned this PM-2 guitar because the neck was over set by 1/8" meaning that the plane of the neck is higher than the top of the bridge (It should be even with the top of the bridge). This causes very low buzzy action. To fix requires the neck to be reset which is a major repair. This guitar should never have passed QA. Beautiful guitar though...I liked everything about it and have I ordered another one...hope that one will be OK. update 6-2-23: I received a replacement PM-2 but it has exactly the same problem: overset neck, resulting in very low action making it unplayable. I can tell it is a good sounding guitar and I would rate it 5 stars if it was playable. I returned it and Ordered another one. Maybe the 3d time is the charm. update 6-5-23: I received another replacement PM-2 but it has exactly the same problem as the 1st and 2nd guitars. The 3d time was definitely NOT the charm and I immediately sent it back. These were all brand new never sold guitars. Dunno what I'm gonna do...I really like this guitar, but do I take a chance on buying a 4th? stay tuned. Update 7-2-23: If I had got a good one I would have given it 5 stars because I really liked this guitar. I upgraded to 4 stars for the overall quality/sound IF the guitar was playable, which they were not. The 3 guitars I sent back were all not playable and could not be adjusted, but they were extremely well built and very good sounding guitars. Guitars like the 3 I returned will end up being sold "for parts or not working") FYI: Amazon currently has a 25% back Prime card offer (till 7-31-23) on this guitar and many other Fender guitars, amps, etc. That brings the price on this guitar to $375 which is great if you get a good one......they have 20 in stock. ... show more

This is a fine instrument in a pinch. The action is reasonable and it plays adequately. The tone itself has a brittle, grating quality that I didn’t quite dig. For the size it’s capable of a decent volume without plugging in. However it did not work out for me. The aftermarket for these are not good and I lost a fair bit on trade. ... show more

I bought my PM TE as my first guitar and straight out of the box is a great guitar, no setup needed and the action (which according to some reviews is an issue) was in good shape in mine. Beautiful guitar, truly well crafted. Would recommend it to whomever

I was specifically searching for an acoustic/electric guitar to replace the one I use with non-functioning pick-ups for our live-stream worship services during the Covid-19 quarantine. This listing included "Fender-Fishman Designed Preamp" and one of the questions answered assured that this was an acoustic/electric guitar, but when it arrived there are is no pick-up. It's a BEAUTIFUL guitar, with great tone. I love the light/smaller body for my small frame. I am very disappointed that it was not as listed. I wonder if the incorrect guitar was shipped, but cannot get through to customer service at this time to check that; my only option seems to be simply returning this guitar. ... show more
