  • Cutest amp ever
Color: Black Style: Mini Deluxe
WORLDS CUTEST AMP. This thing actually holds a lot of punch too! The sound is great, clear and surprisingly loud for such a small amp! I was really surprised at the quality for the money. Has great control options, super lightweight nd easy to use. We love this little dude!

  • Great amp, amazing sound!
Color: Black Style: Mini Deluxe
This little amp delivers surprisingly full Fender tone. It’s battery-powered, ultra-portable, and ideal for travel. The classic design, with chicken-head knobs and a retro dogbone handle, is stylish and sturdy. Controls for gain, tone, and volume let you dial in clean or crunchy tones, and the headphone jack makes quiet practice a breeze. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Fun little power-house
Color: Brown Style: Mini Tonemaster
I want to start by saying I searched the corners of the internet to find sound clips of various "pocket" or "travel" amps and headphone amps before deciding to buy this model. I heard loads of videos where the players had some sweet tones pumping out of the the two, little speakers in the "cab", and I figured it's because they were pros or tone-sharks or they had great recording equipment and EQ'd and processed the sound over and over in their respective computers. While I can't vouch for the sounds they individually found, I will say with just my ears, this amp, and a Gibson Les Paul Studio...I was shocked at the tone this sucker put out! I am a bass player 98% of the time, and once in a blue moon I pull out my les paul or my acoustic to noodle or transfer a bass melody to the upper registers of guitars. That being said, I'm not the best at getting a killer sound out of my 2 guitars, but this amp made me sound...actually kinda good! The distortion is fun to drive. It's a weak sound, but the sound is full and expressive, so you'll fill a small room and maybe an average room with this little fella, but anything else will require a mic and PA system haha. The controls are easy to work and gave me no trouble from the get-go. The rock-back bar is a nice touch because your cable WILL out-weigh the amp and yank it forward. I remedy it with an EQ pedal and a delay pedal I use to give this the full feel of a nice Fender amp classic tone pallet (having pedals hooked up means the cable going into the amp isn't mobile...it's physics. I haven't tried any other modular pedals or distortion-type pedals so I am not sure how this unit will handle those tones)! It feels terrible cheap and is so much smaller than it looked in the videos, but really, I feel this little guy gets the job done. On a long drive when you just need a break and you wanna noodle around or jam a bit, this is your right-hand mini-amp. Practicing late at night in your apartment? This amp is the answer. You don't have to lose the sounds and quality you love for the price! No, it won't sound just like your favorite Fender amp...hopefully...but it sure packs a punch for what you're getting! Overall, I don't regret this purchase at all. I can even fit this guy in my guitar case (and I'm sure most gig bags have plenty of room for it) and I haven't taken a trip yet where this wasn't sitting in the back of the car ready to go! It's mission-ready. If I had this sucker before I deployed in 2010...man...I'd have been playing every day out there! Check one out for yourself, it's a tool that can be oddly useful when you're firing every doubt in your mind! ... show more

  • If you want compact then look no further.
Color: Black Style: Mini Deluxe
When I buy stuff I never think about dimensions very much. So when this arrived and was that tiny, my jaw dropped and I though given that if I would've spent 20 more dollars I could've got regular small standard amplifier - I had screwed myself by not doing enough research. As I am a beginner I just needed an amp capable of hearable sound and one where earphones would work well and I could practice before moving onto bigger ones for gigs or group sessions. At first the battery wouldn't work (but that was on me, long story). After getting battery to work, I plugged up and what came out amazed me for the size this is (2 watts I believe). For practicing on your own or even in a house to not disturb others this is perfect (or even as a display as a collectors item). It's super tiny but for how big it is has an impeccable sound. You can't turn it too loud or it gets washed out and I don't mess with distortion and stuff too much so can't comment on variations of sound. I'm trying to find a good wall wart as a power cord but I'm a little leary about damaging product or myself. I still don't know how long batteries last (they are 9V), if I did I would rate based on that as well. Rating it based on what I expected versus what I got versus what I wound up realizing it capable of, I'm very pleased. Plus given how spacious and divided my gig bag is, it even fits in front pocket of my guitar case, so I could essentially carry my entire set with me in one trip to vehicle (As stand collapses down, tuner clips on guitar, pedals fit in pockets). I will obviously get a bigger amp if I play a crowd or audience, but see no reason to yet if this one lasts well on batteries for awhile and since it's a common battery you can buy tons for cheap. If you are a beginner like me and just want to be able to hear yourself play loud enough or hook up headphones and want something very compact to haul around this is perfect. If you are looking for true practice amp for group sessions or gig amp for crowd, steer clear unless you want to be disappointed. If you are expecting a bigger sound than what it offers, you are in for a let down. If you go in open minded and with little expectations this gem will amaze you. Because the size made my jaw drop, the sound made it raise back up as I was surprised by what I heard. ... show more

  • Dangerously hot battery if installed wrong
Color: Black Style: Mini 65 Twin-Amp
Check how you put in the battery carefully. Just two pressure tabs for the 9volt to shove against...if you do it wrong the thing instantly starts to go on molten heat mode. Also something was rattling inside the amp when I got it. After getting the battery right, the sound is meh...I mean I get it is cheap and toy like small. But meh. Ok for a few things and for taking outdoors on a lark since if nothing happens to it, no big deal.. don't think I would buy it again. ... show more
