Good workmanship - did not have any issues that some other reviewers had (no prob with joints, glue marks, looseness in parts). Looks very nice. Keeps in tune well (like all guitars, need to slightly tune each time you play). My husband liked the look and sound of it so much that he may start learning (he thought for the price I was going to get something toy-like).     • Perfect for 10 year old beginner. Just missing some parts.
I purchased the classical (nylon strings) for my 10 year old that wants to attend guitar club at school. For the price/value, it's the Fender quality and craftsmanship that sounds great. # Pros - Sounds great after tuning - Perfect size for my child - Excellent beginner guitar set - Great value bundle - Nylon strings easier on fingers and produces a softer tone # Cons (-1 star) - Guitar case could use just a little padding but not a deal breaker for a beginner set. - Did NOT come with strap buttons even though a strap is included. Read another review where it came with 1 button but not the other (usually that's what the string is for so at least they had a way to mount it)... Easy fix, ordered some buttons for several dollars, drilled and screwed them in. Perhaps it's a feature??? Product listing should reflect the absence of strap buttons. - Guitar came in a box that could have probably fit 4 more of them in so it was annoying having to cut down the box to fit in the recycling bin. Surprised the guitar wasn't broken from sliding around in the larger box. The tape was all sorts of fubar and looked like the courier had to tape it down even more. Besides the packaging, thin case and absent strap buttons, I'm very happy with the purchase and my kid plays it everyday. The nylon strings are easy on the fingers so I haven't heard any complaints about sore finger tips. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. My cousin asked me to buy this for her & shipped to my house because she lives in apartment & she don't want an expensive items ship it in there. This is what she said about this guitar; "I owned several guitar over the years. I needed something smaller to carry around when I travel. The design, size & color was one of the big factor why I bought it, however this fender guitar sound is not rich and deep. Unfortunately after one week of used, one of the string broke. Seems cheaply made. The low E string is extremely buzzy, very unpleasant sound. The tuners were also an issue. It was clear that they were very cheap tuners, as I could literally feel them resisting, and even turning back towards me as I tried to keep it in tune. To no avail, this guitar refused to stay in tune. The gig bag also looks really cheap & no pads to protect the guitar. Therefore, I asked my cousin to returned and ordered another brand." ... show more

I couldn’t imagine a better guitar to start our 10 year old son out on. This is the perfect size for him to hold, it’s beautiful, it sounds wonderful! He does have to tune it almost every time he sits down but that’s a good habit to get into anyway. I would give this a higher review because the guitar is gorgeous with great sound, but we just realized today we never got the bundle that is suppose to come with the guitar. My son has had two lessons and the teacher asked yesterday about the strap. Waiting for the seller to get back to us.

Bought this as a gift...came later than they original stated it would so that screwed that up. Brought it to my music guy and the back part of the bridge was separated from the body. So I just returned it and got my money back.

First issue: only one shoulder strap button was on the guitar had to pay for second button to be added at the base of the neck of the guitar. Our son started taking guitar lessons and we purchased this guitar because he wanted a red one... Anyway, this guitar is beautiful and his teacher said it was very nice and has great sound. It also holds its' tune very well. We are very pleased with the guitar. We did just order a more robust case so it doesn't get damaged when he takes it to school for his lessons - the case it came with is just a thick fabric, so not much protection. ... show more
