Arrived well set-up, which was fantastic. The sound and playability are shocking for the price. As a beginner guitar, I think it's ideal: low-cost, ready to play, and it sounds good. The accessories are pretty solid, too. The tuner is great and the straps are comfortable enough. I’ve been playing for 23 years. It sounds amazing and plays great. Came with lighter gauge Fender strings on it, and the action (height of the strings above the fretboard) is good for easy playability. No problems with frets buzzing anywhere, and it holds tune all the way up the fretboard as well. If you’re buying a guitar for the first time, all of these things mean that the manufacturer did a good job of making sure it will be easy to play and sound good without you having to worry about anything but tuning the strings occasionally and learning to play. I just got this guitar so I’d have a less expensive acoustic guitar I could keep in my car, take everywhere, and not worry about something happening to it, so I was less worried about the way it looked, but for buyers who are concerned about that— the finish looked nice when it arrived. I’ve bought plenty guitars, and I can say the box it was shipped in was pretty standard, and it arrived in great condition. I saw some comments about it not being in tune when it arrived. That’s so unrealistic. It comes with a tuner— tune it when you unbox it. It also came with all items listed, but do yourself a favor and get a hard case if you’re carrying it around to lessons or elsewhere. You can find a decent enough hard case for $80. ... show more

It has taken a few days to send this review because the guitar bundle was a Christmas gift and was not opened until ... well ... Christmas Day. It also wasn't used until a few days later. BUT...once opened I had a chance to see the instrument and it is a very sound guitar. I have a Fender myself and am glad that my decision to stick with Fender for my novice guitar playing son was a good choice. The guitar is good looking, sounds great and the fret board is easy for a novice's fingertips. The accompanying gig bag, tuner, strings, picks, etc were nice icing on the cake. It will be my son's choice about the free online learning...but that is a nice touch. Definitely a 5 star rating. ... show more
