I am not an expert but sounds great straight out of the box. It was just price and quality I wanted as newbie. I did not want a cheap piece of crap that would end up frustrating me and thererfore make me quit. I also did not want to spend big money if I ended up not liking playing the guitar. Its has been a good guitar for the price. It is Chinese made but of decent quality. Holds tune well but does buzz a bit on some of the lower frets on the higher number strings.

    • Beginners should have no issues
Beautiful guitar with a nice sound. It tunes up just fine but it does have issues holding the tuning sometimes. The package is a nice beginners start up. The gig bag is really cheap with no bumpers to protect the edges of the guitar. The tuner, strap, strings and Picks are really nice to have.

I purchased this as a gift for my grandaughter. She was very impressed. I was not sure what would be arriving as this was advertised as "like new condition". It looked unused to me. Packaged perfectly. Well worth the price paid.

For starters it came packed very well. The box was like it was meant to be shipped. The guitar was in great shape and thanks to the included DVD and tuner it now sounds great. In my "player bundle" box I got the gig bag (canvas with carry handle and back pack style straps no pockets inside or out), a shoulder strap, 3 picks, an electronic tuner, a instructional DVD, a certificate for online lessons from Fender and a set of replacement strings. The strings on the guitar may be steel but the replacement strings are bronze. ... show more
