  • Great low-cost "bedroom" amp you can also use at small gigs.
This is a hidden gem in the Fender lineup. I used my original '60s Twin Reverb or Showman top with a custom 2-15" cabinet in my youth when I was a professional, playing everything from small rooms to arenas (we were Smokey Robinson's tour band for half of a tour with the Miracles, for example - I still play "Tracks of My Tears," "Tears of a Clown," and "You've Really Got a Hold on Me" with that original arrangement - kills me every time). This one on the clean channel simulates a Twin Reverb (though not the old tube masterpiece). It's major problem is that the included reverb control has only 3 fixed settings ("Reverb+Chorus," "Reverb Hall" and "Reverb Spring"). It would be a GOOD THING to plan on getting a separate Reverb Pedal (BOSS has the classic FRV-1 "'63 Fender Reverb' pedal with Dwell, Tone & Mixer) or one of the more sophisticated digital reverbs, some with added delay & a myriad of variations. Check out the TC-Electronics "Hall of Fame 2" reverb that Steve Vai uses & Tal Wilkenfeld uses for Bass. That adds more of the real mid-60s Twin sound. This amp also simulates 3 '65 Fender amps (Twin, Delux & Princeton), 3 Tweed Fender amps (Bassman, Deluxe & Champ), 60s, 70s & 80 Brit amps (names not listed), Super-Sonic, 90s Metal & 2000s Metal (again no names listed). What more do you want for an amp that costs so little ($220-something on Amazon)? A new Twin Reverb is 5 times that. ... show more

  • Excellent product and service!
Size: 50 W Color: Champion II
Bought this for my son for Christmas. He started using it the end of December, worked fine until a week ago, so he had used it for 2 months or so. Completely does not work. Turns on but won't sound music. We bought new cables but that didn't work. Seller said they only do returns up to 30 days. He refered us to Fender. Fender has been absolutely amazing! ... show more

  • I don't know much about amplifiers, so the Amazon ratings helped a lot.
Size: 25 W Color: Champion II
Our son decided last Christmas that he wanted a guitar. It came with a VERY small 10W amp, but it allowed him (and us) to decide if he was serious about playing or just an endorphin rush. He seems serious and asked for a larger amp and foot pedals for voices and effects. After settling on 3 to choose from, I watched a few video reviews, and the Fender Champion series kept coming up on top for bedroom amps with best options. This amp saved us from having buy pedals right now too, because it has the multiple voices and effects that he wanted, built in. He absolutely loves it, and we can actually tell what it was he has been practicing for the last year. He is better than we thought. Amps make a BIG difference. ... show more

  • Not a bad little amp.
Size: 50 W Color: Champion II
Seems to do the job well.. and the job is having enough power to jam with some friends, or record music at home. The added effects built-in are a nice feature. Overall. pleased with it.

  • Great Practice/Recording/Small Gig Amp!
Size: 25 W Color: Champion II
Very nice for a non tube Champ. I have an Original Fender Champ with tubes & 1×12" Jensen speaker from back in the 70s & LOVE it, along with a tweed Deluxe & Twin Reverb & Marshall 50 watt with 2×12" Celestion 30s.. And Although THIS little guy is NON of those, IT lets you pick "Those Sounds/Tones" to a degree with its Amp Voicing features.. I can leave all my amps & pedal boards at our rehearsal studio & use this at home with great results! It also has some effects built in that sound Pretty Good as well. All in All.. A GREAT little guy to have! The store/seller is GREAT with communication, asking if you have any problems or questions, & Even threw in a Free Austin Bazaar guitar polishing cloth! Great Seller, Great little Amp with Fender cable, some Fender picks & polish cloth for $150! Hell Yeah!! Check em out.. You'll be glad you did! Will buy from this Seller again when needed! 5+ Stars! 😎👍👍 ... show more
