Good quality, good deal
Style: Bundle w/ Hard Case Color: Natural
As a person trying to learn guitar I thought the fact that this was as pack was very convenient. As I progressed a little, I could see maybe a chord chart, and a capo would’ve been a good addition. The guitar is quality, the case looks good enough to provide protection as well. A minor scratch on the stitching of the hard case, when it arrived but nothing major. A built in tuner as well as add-on tuner were included but i prefer using tuning apps. The material it is made of seems good quality, though the gloss finish becomes a little sticky when your hands get warm from playing. On the description of the product it states it comes with an “instruction DVD for easy learning” as a beginner I thought maybe a couple classes, but no. No dvd included, instead a QR code to a YouTube video more or less teaching you a little about the guitar itself. And the guitar had a tag with supposedly 30dqy free lessons trial that I could not seem to redeem. ... show more

Absolutely Amazing!!! So happy I purchased this guitar
Style: Bundle w/ Hard Case Color: Natural
I'm a beginner guitarist and have been learning on my electric Fender Squire that I've had for a few years. With the pandemic, I started to spend more time practicing. However, I've always loved the sound of the acoustic guitar and the fingerstyle technique. I had an old acoustic guitar from Estabaan (the infomercial one). The strings and set up was so uncomfortable that I could never play for more than 5 minutes and it wasn't fun. I learned about guitar action (the distance between the string and the fretboard) and looked up guitars with low action that are good for beginners. I landed on the Yamaha 800 series and the Fender CD60S series guitars which are good for beginners and intermediates. Watching many Youtube videos I heard many people say the Yamaha sounds deeper and the Fender has a crisper tone but in the end, what was most important was the ease of play so I would spend more time with it and improve. The CD60SCE is a little slimmer than the CD60S and has the cut-out design I like and has the ability to be plugged into an amp. It sounds amazing as an acoustic and as a plugin, but overall I like the acoustic sound the best. I can't put this thing down!!!! The package offered was really nice and I love having a hard case to protect my new guitar so I can take it when I travel, camping or visit someone's house without risk of damage. I definitely see myself taking it with me everywhere because I don't like going more than a day without playing it. If you're looking for an easy to play acoustic guitar with a great sound and built-in electronics with a case and some extras, this is the one. ... show more

Great Intermediate Guitar
Style: Bundle w/ Hard Case Color: Natural
I have owned the Fender CD-60 SCE Dreadnought Acoustic Electric Guitar for a few months now. I am extremely happy with this purchase. I bought this guitar after two of my previous guitars were damaged to the point where they were not usable after a condensate pan for our Central Air overflowed and water got into a corner of the basement where the guitars were stacked within gig bags and a case. It had been many years since I had played daily, but since buying this guitar, I have made a concerted effort to playing at least every 2 to 3 days. The guitar was received on time and in excellent condition. I opted for the hard case to ensure it would not get damaged in transit. The case was in good order both inside and out with no visible imperfections or damage. The guitar I choose was the Natural body. The finish is impeccable on this guitar. It is quite beautiful and the nicest guitar I have owned. The rolled neck feels good in hand and comfortable for long sessions. The chrome tuning knobs are sturdy with a heaviness to them, and have a quality feel to the touch, compared to my previous acoustic which felt cheap and hollow by comparison. The cutaway makes it easy and comfortable to access the upper fretboard. The Fishman pickup, preamp, and tuner works very well. The Fender Chromatic Clip on Tuner also works well and makes tuning easy, though with the built in tuner, it seems overly redundant and maybe unnecessary. It's definitely more precise than the built in but I can't say I use this often. My favorite thing about this guitar is, of course, the sound. This guitar has a crisp sound that resonates rather well, even when not amped. The tone is full bodied with good projection. With it sounding so good out of the box, I imagine it will only get better with age. The fit and finish is excellent and the look, feel, and sound of this guitar punches above it's weight class. My one criticism was the strings this guitar came with. I am not having issues with getting notes and chords to resonate, but I feel like bends are a little difficult for some solos and hammer on and pull offs can sometimes sound too muffled. Maybe I just need to keep at it to increase my hand strength. I think I might try a hybrid set of light-mediums. To sum up, I love this guitar. For the cost, I don't think you can go wrong with this setup. I was also looking at the Yamaha FGX800c and the Epiphone PR-4E, but I ultimately went with the Fender after researching reviews. ... show more

Excellent Value

Very pleased with guitar. I have a Taylor and a Guild D40 but this was purchased to use for church services and it has proven to be excellent. Sound quality and pickup work very well. I use a remote sending signal to sound board 60 feet away and it works without a hitch. The fretboard is easy to manuver and it sounds very alive. Many comments about the clarity and brightness have been made. Highly recommend it. Not a top of the line like my Taylor and Guild but very very adequate for my use multiple times a week. ... show more

Definitely a beginner-friendly instrument. I have been playing guitar since 6th grade but I never had a decently-built guitar. My 1st acoustic was an Ovation copy(Applause). Great booming sound but very difficult to play....aluminum fretboard and very difficult to keep chords down. When I started playing again, I figured that, this time, I would get a guitar that is easier to play. This guitar is amazing. All the runs I used to struggle with, I can do them with more ease and dexterity. The sound is really special, although I haven't used the electric part yet. The "feel" of this guitar is so rich......my Applause had a plastic neck, and this one is wooden. For some reason, it just feels more rich and comfortable. So far, I give it 5 stars.....for a beginner player. I'm sure that for $1000-1500, I could get more benefit....but only if I was a player that could appreciate that. For now, I'm more than happy with my guitar. ... show more
