  • Sounds Good
Color: Mahogany Style: Bundle with Hard Case
For the price, the sound is amazing. I wanted a guitar that I would not be too frustrated over if it got scratched up. Friends always seem to want to try their hand when the guitar comes out. My only complaint, the case it came with, one of the latches wasn’t even attached and laying in the box. The case is very cheaply made. If I was just reviewing the guitar I’d do 5 stars but because the case was damaged and I paid for a functioning case, 4 stars is the best I can do. I’ve already chunked the case in the bin. Again, guitar sounds great for the price. ... show more

  • Excellent value
Color: Mahogany Style: Bundle with Hard Case
First and foremost, this guitar is nice but it's nothing fancy. It's put together well, but it is a beginner's guitar. It was easy to set up although I'm a total novice. I decided to gamble against the advice of my friends and adjust the truss rod myself and had no issues. So, it's fair to say that I have no complaints about the guitar. The real value in this is the case. I was expecting a flimsy cardboard "hard" case. What I got was a solid, well padded and lined, locking case that I would feel pretty confident checking on an airplane. It seems to hold the guitar very well and I didn't hear any rattling as I carried it. The included tuner, picks, strap, and strings really do round out this package and provide you with everything you need to get started. Everything arrived well packed and in excellent condition. I feel pretty good that I got my money's worth with this package. ... show more

  • Pretty nice for a lower end guitar.
Color: Black Style: Bundle with Gig Bag
Great looking and sounding for a cheaper guitar. I like the way it plays and it feels pretty good when you just sit and play. I would definitely recommend this guitar for beginners and more experienced players that needs a good sounding backup.

  • I LOVE THIS GUITAR!
Color: Mahogany Style: Bundle with Gig Bag
After spending a couple years playing the ukulele, with the baritone ukulele over the last six months, I've finally done it; something I've wanted to do all my life (I'm 58.) I BOUGHT A GUITAR! I have always loved the sound of the guitar, but with the background of being a drummer, and being visually impaired, I was fairly intimidated by the idea. Thanks to playing the ukulele, I have arrived here! This guitar is GORGEOUS! Such beautiful sound, from the deep low notes, to the clear midrange, and crisp tight high notes. The sustain is AMAZING! It has a nice, low action, meaning you don't have to squeeze too hard to get clear sounding notes and chords. It's beautifully constructed, and the deep brown mahogany with the gloss finish is very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. (though a bit of a fingerprint magnet!) So far, it has stayed almost perfectly in tune, with just some minor adjustments between practice sessions. Everything arrived as described except for the cleaning cloth, which the seller shipped out to me right away, after also being very helpful with some setup advice. Make no mistake, this is a large instrument! It's quite a jump from the baritone ukulele, but I'm already starting to feel more comfortable with it after a couple weeks. For me, holding this in what is referred to as the "classical position" is quite comfortable. You'll want to buy a guitar foot rest to hold this beauty properly. Also, invest in a decent guitar stand so you can keep it safe but also handy! We live in such a remarkable age, where lessons and information abound online! I'm currently using a 30 Day Guitar Challenge on YouTube, and the list of online guitar tutorials is virtually endless! Along these lines, I watched a number of reviews on this guitar, and the love for it was basically unanimous. I am very pleased with this purchase, and truly believe that I got more than my money's worth. I look forward to spending many years (hopefully!!!) exploring the joy of making music with this lovely creation from the good people at Fender. If you've thought about playing guitar, and you have the money and some time a few days each week to practice, (ideally everyday), do yourself a massive favor and buy a guitar. This setup comes with just about everything you need, and it will enrich your life like little else can. We spend so much time and money on far less inspiring things. Music is a gift; immerse yourself in it; you'll be glad you did. ... show more

  • A beautiful instrument
Color: Mahogany Style: Bundle with Gig Bag
This mahogany fender is beautiful and it sounds great. The only drawback I can find so far is the sticker fender put on the pick guard. I had a heck of a time removing the sticker and wound up scratching the guard in the process. Otherwise I am very happy with this purchase

  • Expensive guitar pretending to be cheap
Color: Mahogany Style: Bundle with Gig Bag
Extremely pleased with sound quality and stays in tune. Perhaps because its brand new, but it sounds better than my son's guitar that costs three times more. Very easy on the hands and fingers. Otherwise a quality solid top and scallop bracing that is typically reserved for the guitar elites. The tuner is very handy, I literally just use it just to use it. More accurate I think, is based on vibration does not have microphone. All I can say is that Fender was for real when upgrading this series ... show more
