  • Amazing Value - No Kidding
This is really good for what it is — an entry level, $200 acoustic guitar assembled in a Chinese mass production facility. and set up by the amazing guitar techs at Sweetwater (this is significant). While it is not as good as a Taylor or a Martin, it’s not half bad. Looks far more expensive than the price suggests. Superb construction and materials. Solid mahogany top. Smooth finish and fret ends. The set-up is really good, too. Good action. No buzz. No sprout. Straight neck. The only other comparable guitar at/about this price point that I looked at is the Ibanez PC54 — another good guitar at $30 less. But, I chose the Fender because the fret ends on the Ibanez were very noticeably sharp and would require filing right away or else I’d shred my fingers. (Now we know where that extra $30 went.) The strings will need to be stretched a bit before it will hold tune consistently. Best to keep a tuner handy for the first day or so. Once in tune the Fender remains so and is very playable with decent sound. I will replace the plastic nut and saddle with bone at my first opportunity. This will significant "warmth" thus making a $200 guitar sound like a $400 guitar (no kidding). I will add locking tuners at some point, too. Not required, but it’s a very functional upgrade. (Maybe Santa will bring them at Christmas.) From a product standpoint, the Fender CD60 is of good design and quality. The price is a bargain. Personally, I find that it inspires me to play more which is really the whole point of this purchase, isn’t it? I plan to take it with me everywhere and play it as often as I can. Well done Fender and Sweetwater! ... show more

  • Surprisingly very well made w/decent tone
It's not a Martin, it's a $200 Fender but it sounds plenty good enough for me. All my other guitars are electric but I wanted to add an acoustic. Turns out this was a good decision, better than buying a used instrument that may have been poorly hydrated for years (in MN it's a concern). I changed the strings to D'Addario 10's and to my ears it improved the tone & certainly playability, requiring no truss rod or saddle adjustments. When I changed the strings I felt something inside & took a photo to find it was only the ball end of the string but the inside is immaculate - no excess glue dripping all over which indicates the mfg & QA process is top notch! Plus it holds tune. I'd buy this guitar again. ... show more

  • Smaller than the one I had before
Good guitar though it is slimmer than the last one I had. The last one broke and I had to buy a new one so I ordered the same model and it’s smaller but it still plays well. Also, somehow it put in an order for two guitars. I tried to cancel the order and correct it and it said that it corrected it for one Guitar but they ended up shipping me two guitars. I ended up having to pay for two guitars and now I have to figure out how to resell or ship back the other Guitar. So be careful when you are buying from this vendor because they do not have a way to correct the order after you Submit it. ... show more

  • Great beginner guitar. Great seller.
This came from Sweetwater triple boxed. Added warranty by Sweetwater. This is a beautiful guitar and as a beginner it’s easy to play. Great value, great sound, great seller.

  • Great guitar!
I initially purchased a Taylor gs mini and it had fret buzz and dead frets up and down the neck. I returned the Taylor and purchased the fender cc-60s. The fender has been a great acoustic with no issues. I would recommend the fender cc-60s. The playability and cost are awesome.

  • Got here a day late
I wanted another Yamaha but I got a price on this one without all the add-ons....I don't need a gizmo to tune a guitar and don't need a strap or some DVD....It's a mahogany beauty....I mean real pretty. Now come the sore fingers until I build the callouses back up. If I end up hating it I will revisit this review. ... show more

  • Great Guitar
I love this little guitar. I own several different types from acoustic to electric and this is one of the easiest to play. The sound is amazing and way beyond what I expected. I did lower the action a little bit and I feel like that improved the feel somewhat. I am very happy with this guitar and would recommend it highly. ... show more
