I burn about 4 to 5 tons of pellets each season and normally pay to have my chimney professionally cleaned, which runs around $400 each time. I wanted to try this kit to see if I could handle more of the cleaning myself. My pellet stove setup uses a 4 inch pipe that runs vertically from the stove, then horizontally through another room to clear the upstairs, and then vertically again before exiting the roof. This cleaning kit made most of the process pretty easy. I was able to clean the first vertical section above the stove, then the horizontal run, and then about 8 feet up the second vertical section without much trouble. When I added the second 10 foot rod to go higher, I was not able to push the brush further. I tried twisting and working it back and forth but the flexible rod just started to bend instead of pushing through. It is possible there was a hardened buildup at that point since that section is near where the chimney exits the roof. I plan to have it professionally cleaned this time and then try the kit again next season when everything is fully cleared. Up until that point, the rods and brush worked very well and made cleaning the accessible sections much easier. For straight runs and moderate bends, this seems like a very useful tool for pellet stove maintenance. Will be a great value for the money if I can get it fully through the run.

The flexible rod design is helpful for reaching deeper into vent pipes and cleaning areas that are difficult to access manually. Felt like it was able to effectively remove ash and soot buildup (although make sure you’re prepared for the mess). I also do notice a big improvement to the airflow of my stove… The brush feels sturdy enough to last many uses, and will help save money on getting it professionally cleaned.

The Feekoon Pellet Stove Cleaning Kit is excellent. I have noticed the humidity tends to make the dryer lint stick to the walls of the exhaust tube in my house. This has backed up enough that it caused my machine to start throwing an error. I needed a product that could get in there and break everything loose. This tool was perfect for the job. The bristles are quite sturdy. The material seems strong, even the wire gauge holding the bristles on is very thick but flexible. The cable to spin the brush is very heavy duty. I was able to use the full length and it was still pushing strongly. The hand brush was even perfect for cleaning out the inside of my machine. The only flaw was a burr in the plastic handle of the hand brush. A bit more post processing there would have been nice. Good value for the price being offered at.

This works satisfactorily for cleaning out 4" dryer vents. The brush was not quite large enough to really scrape the edges and left some stickier lint along the seam edge, but the rest of the vent was fairly well cleaned. The shaft does bend around 90 degree turns with a little work to get it going in the right direction but wasn't able to manage 2 bends. I like that the shaft is one long piece so I don't have to attach multiple sections screwing them together. It was also stiff enough to push and not have it fold up on itself. Getting the two shafts together for a 20' length was very difficult since neither end spins freely. I had to walk in a circle getting it threaded. But once together, it's secure. Seems pretty well made, not too heavy. It worked for my use and good investment in keeping your ducts clean.

A little pricier than vent cleaning brushes, I prefer this one because the rod is a single piece which means you don't have to worry about it coming apart in a duct and can be a little more aggressive with your scrubbing. It works great not just on a pellet stove chimney but also dryer duct and bathroom fan vent ducts. Great cleaning tool for hard to reach places and the steel rod is much more durable than fiberglass ones on most duct cleaning kits.

This is a very nice pellet stove maintenance and cleaning kit. It includes all the essentials for my annual cleaning regimen. This kit is of the same quality of tools that the stove stores sell, but at a fraction of the price! I dropped off one star due to the cleaning rod. I wish it were just a bit more flexible. Outside of that one small complaint, this kit is a tremendous value. Remember: a clean pellet stove is a SAFE pellet stove!
