Had a Schaphoid non-union surgery, and then another one eight months later. in total i was wearing a thumb spica for ten months. i have become a thumb spica connoisseur, and if you put the time in to adjust the metal splints (or make someone else do it) this becomes one of the most comfortable thumb spicas there is. the splints also dont shift around like other spicas. also, if you work with your hands, most thumb spicas become worn out gross looking after about a month even with hand or machine washing. i went through four spicas over four months before i got this one, which lasted about six months and somehow stayed relatively clean looking. definitely recommend this brace

I had been suffering for over 2 months with such deep burning pain in right hand/lower arm. Just horrible. Eventually moved up my entire arm. After realizing it wasn’t going to get better on my own, I found out it is De Quervains. Ordered this tho hated spending for something that might not work-was best decision I’ve ever made!! After 2 days the burning/aching horrid pain was nearly gone from hand and lower arm. Upper arm was still painful but knew after letting this go so long it’d be a drawn out healing. Now, 12 days later, I can sleep! I can have a pain free day! The lower arm no pain, the upper arm so much better but still not quite pain free but not near what it was. I wear brace 24/7 only taking it off when necessary. I am now going to start arm exercises with band because of decreased strength related to letting this issue go untreated for so long but now, because of this brace, I’m so close to complete recovery!! I’m telling you-if you start feeling burning, aching pain in your thumb, wrist, lower arm-immediately BUY this brace!!! Don’t be a pokey like me!! BEST money spent! And no doctor bills lol

It works well if you have the perfect size wrist, but there's a space between the strips of velcro that you attach the straps to. It's either too tight or too loose. Think holes in a belt if they were super far apart. The size isn't adjustable enough. I do really like that 2 of the 4 metal supports are removable. Once I did some complicated MacGyvering with velcro tape, it was perfect.

Does the job of stabilizing the thumb and wrist. Much cheaper and more comfortable than the one the doctors office recommends. Showed Dr and they approved of the fit and the stabilizing ability. Like that the metal bars can be removed for sleeping at night

Unfortunately, I tried a cheaper splint. It actually did more harm than good. Let me tell you about this new brace. Helps me either be pain free or greatly reduces pain that has tortured me for about 6 years. Immobilizing my thumb is the best method for my thumb/joint pain. I’ve tried injections from an orthopedic physician, massage therapy & oral medication. This well-made, easy to use brace gave me unexpected but great benefits.

I ordered this brace in a size S/M. My wrist measures 6.25 and this item fit like it was custom made for me. If you want a little more wiggle room, or if your wrist measures over what mine is..... I recommend that you order the next size up. There's two removable support bars, one for the thumb & the second for the wrist. I left both in (as I personally needed) but at least there's options if you do not want or need both. I purchased this for my chronically painful arthritic wrist and thumb. The stability of this item is amazing and made with quality materials. The velcro is very strong and stays attached without fail. This brace provided me with a tremendous amount of relief. My doctor wanted my thumb fully immobilized to reduce inflammation and relieve pain. This was perfect for that and provided me with instant relief. I am able to comfortably wear this all day and night as prescribed. What a lifesaver this was for me, I wish I purchased it a lot sooner! **This brace is also washable, which is a huge plus! Just remove the bars first, wash and air dry.
