I had a BestPet folding playpen that was 10 years old and needed another, but it was no longer available. I ordered 4 different look-alikes from Amazon, but none of them compared in quality— mainly the strength of the zipper. The various residents, all rambunctious kittens, would bust through or tear up the door zippers. This playpen is strong enough to withstand any kitten or young cat. It has a tubular frame that allows the cat to walk along the top edge without it collapsing. It is made of heavy duty fabric with a waterproof bottom. So spilled water stays inside. The mesh windows are such that cat claws do not damage them. And the zippers. I cannot say enough. This is what makes the others unusable. Not only is it tough, but it has a fabric reinforcement on the inside that makes it difficult for the cat to get its teeth into it. Don’t waste time and money on the others, this is the playpen that will last. I’m sure Amazon was tired of me ordering and returning playpens, but consider it a public service. We got this for our 5lbs puppy. He's highly energetic and an escape artist. He's managed to climb out of everything we've tried. This one is the winner. He's tried, but he can't climb out so we can leave the top piece unzipped (for now.) He's tried to scratch and claw but so far the material has held up. We got the large one so he has room to run and play. He's fine in there doing his own thing until we zip up the entrance, then forget about it! It's back to trying to break out of there. If you have a feisty little dog, I highly recommend it. It was a little tricky to put together, pay attention to the flaps and put those poles in first. I learned that the hard way and had to start all over.

This is amazing. I love this playpen. There are some reviews that say it is hard to put together but it was a breeze. Even though it did get a little tight pushing some of the poles through the fabric it still took less than 20 minutes. Not necessarily for travel as it will take a minute to remove enough poles to collapse it for travel and then reassemble at destination. But this thing is sturdy and roomy and my dog loves it. It is our alternative to crating because we didn't want her in a confined space just limited without access to the carpet because she likes to pull it up fiber by fiber. Playpen is sturdy, so far screen panels have not torn from her nails and the one time she had an accident it was super easy to clean and wipe out. I would definitely recommend this product.

The media could not be loaded. Full disclosure: I am “That Dog Mom” and I own every possible kennel/crate/cage/carrier for my two boys. We are going to Disney this summer and I needed something for them to hang out in at the hotel while I’m at the parks. I already have several of the pop-up octagon pens, but my PooChon grew much larger than expected and knocks them over when put in. I also needed something that would fit in a 27” suitcase for the flight there…which my normal travel kennels were 3 inches too wide to fit. Enter this….I ordered expecting to return due to quality or sturdy-ness issues. I spent 22 minutes putting this together, popped the pups in, and as you can see in the video they immediately started playing!! My bigger boy likes to body slam and jump and he literally cannot budge this thing! I ordered 2 but will only need the one for the trip as it is plenty big and sturdy for them both. They are a 6 pound papillon and a 10-12 pound PooChon (who is a wrecking ball of energy). The only tiny issue I had with assembly is the front suspension bars did not fit into the fabric slots, so I was unable to attach them to the actual fabric pen, but as seen in the photo, it is plenty sturdy and I don’t see this as an issue other than aesthetic. I have a carry bag for one of the old pop up kennels I will be using to transport this in…I also plan to print a photo of the pen and attach to the carrier so TSA isn’t freaked by the poles LOL. If you’re debating this on quality, size, or comfort of your dogs, know that it is the best pen I have ever purchased!

Edit: The manufacturer was very responsive when emailed. They gave me a timeline for sending the missing pieces; or if that timeline didn't work, to order full replacement through Amazon. I chose the latter. I've had the playpen set up for just over two weeks now. It was easy to put together. It's the perfect size for the rescues and all their supplies, and it allowed for them to be in the same room as the rest of the animals and get used to each others scents before letting them into the general population. It is holding up well, even with cats jumping on, and laying on top. ~~~~ Just purchased this for two cat rescues while the acclimate to the rest of the household. It was very easy to put all the PVC pipes in place and seems that it will be sturdy. Unfortunately, it was missing all the elbow pieces. Will update once I hear back from the company.

This is a fantastic playpen. I have raised two weeks old kittens in this, and now they are almost eight weeks. It gave them room to grow, run, play, and sleep. It is the perfect setup. I would love le to connect two playpens. I hope to do that soon.
