So the box wasn’t light but that’s to be expected. Once I got through the extra heavy duty packaging I pulled out all the pieces. No words in instructions just pictures which turned out to actually word pretty well. I only had to redo the front panel once, had it installed upside down. But other than that I put the entire piece together by myself and the pup was in before I could call for him. Definitely happy with this purchase. It’s sleek and functional.

Did people get a different crate than I did, or do their dogs just hate being in a crate? I have had zero issues with the doors or the latches. My dog loves his crate, but I guess if you have a dog whose mission is to get out, it could break, but seeing reviews talking about doors falling off or the latches breaking really surprised me. I bought this for my rescue dog. He’s a small GSD mix, stands 21” at the shoulder, and weighs 60Lbs. He has room to stand and turn around. I can put his food and water dishes in with him when I have to go out. It was easy to put together, and came with tools and extra hardware. It took maybe 30 minutes. I really like that there are two doors so it can be placed longways or sideways. It’s actual composite wood, not cardboard, so kinda heavy. It comes with the slide out tray. The latches are simple. However: there’s no actual “floor”, it’s just open and you slide the tray underneath. I thought maybe I was missing a part, but this was how it was meant to be. Not crazy about it, but I’ll live.

Product arrived packaged to be assembled. Assembly instructions were clear. I bought the product knowing the plastic floor tray sits directly on the floor. There is no “bottom” to this crate so your dog/pet (my pittie) can lean or jump against the side of the crate and move it. The door locks are kinda sketchy and work sort of. I put a carabiner style clip through the hole in the door lock to secure it. The finish on the top of the table is good, not great. Overall it’s not a bad crate but it’s not fine furniture.

This dog crate is sooooo much better than my old, more expensive one that was furniture. This is open with wide bars on 3 sides and has a removable base. So much easier to clean and LUCE can see out! We use it every night so we don’t trip over her. She feels safe too!

We have two of these dog crates. They look great once you put them together. The bad part is that I have had a door break off of both crates. The pins holding the doors are cheap and snap easily. Neither of my dogs is hard on their crates. We have fixed them ourselves using the recommended piece from another review here on Amazon. The pieces are not expensive but it’s a hassle.
