**Edited to add photos - turns out, our kitten does like cat beds/hidey-holes, but only the best! We couldn't be more pleased with this product. Pros: 1. The piece is heavy! It is a solid piece of furniture, not cheaply made. 2. Very reasonable cost for a high-quality piece of furniture. 3. Our cat loves it! A great scratching post. She hasn't quite figured out the carpet square yet, but she likes to sit on it, so that's still a win. 4. Easy to assemble one I slowed down (I was excited) and actually read the directions rather than skimming them. 5. Beautiful piece, it's great in our home. Cons: 1. You actually need to slow down when reading the directions... the directions are images-only, and it's easy to miss steps. I recommend reading and processing all of it before beginning assembly. I had to re-assemble twice, lol. 2. The cat home is a little small (but if I were a cat, I imagine that "cozy" would be the right word since cats are liquid)... but we're also learning that our kitten may not like cat beds/homes, either. The good news is that we can always unscrew the top piece again, slip out the circular cat hole, and use it as a book storage space or something. 3. The wall mount rope is a little confusing and it isn't mentioned in the directions. Our cat likes to use it as a toy, which is fine. That said, I think it's maybe more of a liability thing to include it? This piece is heavy, we use it as an end table for our couch. There is no wall to connect it to, but the piece is heavy enough that we also don't feel a need to connect it. So, cool. Thanks for the attached cat toy! 10/10 would recommend this, I would absolutely buy it again. :) ... show more

Kizzie rubbed against every metal piece as my husband (see first photo for husband, and Kizzie inside the finished cubby-end table. We are among the lucky ones who got a perfect product, e.g., no cracks or other cosmetic flaws. It was packed well. All the pieces were in the box. All the drill holes were perfect, my husband did not have to use a drill or any other tool than what was provided, or he got an Allen wrench or something like it from our small stash of simple tools. I'm handicapped, was in my recliner listening to music with earbuds, and I could see him and Kizzie putting it together, but not the tool. I include Kizzie "putting it together" along with my husband because she stayed with him the whole time, for encouragement, because he was tired, and he's not a natural furniture assembler, i.e., he isn't the "handy man" or DIY type. Ironically, I am, but even before the stroke I had about 17-months ago, I had developed health issues that sidelined me from being able to do what I used to do, the "manly" job. I'm grateful it was all as it should be because I can't drive and my husband works so much, I don't know when he could have made it to the post office to go through a return process. I researched other small cat towers and such, and we needed a small and short one because we're tight on space. We needed one with a vertical scratcher, and although the scratch post on this one is too short for a cat to use it completely or near standing up position, that was OK with Kizzie who likes not only vertical surfaces, but Kizzie likes to scrunch her body low with her muscles tight for extra oomph. (See the part on my husband's recliner that is torn up? Yup, she was partial to my husband's recliner.) As soon as my husband finished putting what I call the cubby-end table together, Kizzie went to investigate the parts she had not been able to rub against or get inside while it was being assembled. Once it was put together and placed next to my husband's recliner, she was inside the cubby in under five minutes. My husband thinks it's awesome. He knows how much researching I do, so if the seller of whatever I buy has done their part, Lord knows I've done mine, whatever the item, I won't have wasted money. Having read through a lot of the reviews for this, having looked at the few photos other Amazon customers shared, and considering "Fake Spot" for how honest the reviews were likely to be, I decided to take a chance that we'd get one that I'd grade an A- for packaging, all parts new and in the box. I'm giving this an B+ because the instructions could have been better, although at 63, I've seen far worse, and my husband was able to figure out the few places that the instruction sheet didn't make clear. The second reason for B+ instead of A- is the pad on the bottom. It is attached, cannot (as far as I could feel) be taken off without ruining it, so that part is going to look soiled after a while. But considering how my husband's recliner looks, that's not a big issue. I hope whoever decides to buy this based on my own and other positive reviews are as lucky as we've all been. One caveat? Kizzie is at the end of the spectrum for "small" cat. The cut-off is 8lbs. She weighs about 8.5 lbs. now, and she's 4 years old and a few months. I'm sharing her size, her weight, and how quickly she got inside the cubby to remind those who've gotten this far that it's not for large or very chubby felines. For the big boys (and girls), get a more traditional cat tree or condo sized for them. ... show more

I'm pleasantly shocked at how great this cat condo is. I didn't want one of those cat trees covered in carpet, so I decided to give this a go. My cat is a normal size (10 lbs) and loves it! She spends a lot of time in it. She doesn't really use the scratching post, because she hardly scratches at things, but it is quality and sturdy. As an end table, it's great. Especially considering the low price. It looks nice and it's sturdy. I noticed some people struggled with the instructions, but I'm not sure why. They were very clear and even without them it would probably be pretty easy to figure out. So far the only thing I don't like is that the entrance is white. It would look much better if it were dark (black or wood grain). I may paint it so it looks a little nicer. Overall, I'm impressed. If you're looking for a cat condo that blends in with your furniture, this is a quality choice at an affordable price. ... show more

I got this desk to put next to my work desk as a decoy for the cats. They both really like it and have stopped jumping on my desk and getting in my way. I even put an old coding book on it to make them think they’re in my way (it’s their favorite thing) I put it together during my 30 minute lunch break one day. It was really easy and I like that actual screws are used and not just cheap plastic clips like other cat furniture. The only issue is the bed hole is a bit too small for one of my cats. I was expecting that though, he’s 20 lbs! I’m planning to remove that piece and add velcro to the bottom of the fleece bed to keep it in place. ... show more

Sturdy solid and I won't say great deal for the money because even that makes things sound cheap. Premium quality and discount prices. This is my second Feandrea product, functional furniture for both humans and the cats, great space safer for small areas. Two of y cats already explored and fit in the cubby, one is 8 pounds the the other 11, my 18 pound cat can't fit in it but there is very little cat furniture anywhere that he will and I expected that. The materials you build this with are solid and it is easy to build. The directions are simple. My boy, the tuxedo cat, was very suspicious and hasn't quite understood this is his new place to lay and sleep on, instead of my keyboard on my desk. Work in progress. My girl has decided it is now her castle and is very content in the cubby. So now I may need to buy a new one for my boy.. because I need to get my work done. 😎 Highly recommend this for your home and cat(s). Rustic wood and Black is my office theme and I was happy to find something to compliment my office. How well it is made is an extra bonus! ... show more

I was so excited to find this piece because it matches a few pieces we have in our living room & it isn’t another carpet covered cat tower. I think it will be easier to keep clean. However, the holes didn’t line up & assembly was a pain. We ordered one & received it rather quickly, but noticed the top piece had a knick from the hole on the other side drilled too far into the board. (See pics) We ordered another one hoping to change out the top piece. It came fairly quick, but it was missing pieces. We managed to make one complete table after a few adjustments. We shall see how it holds up. Seems pretty sturdy. Overall this is a great concept, but poor quality. Hopefully they will adjust the manufacturing. ... show more
