If you're deciding between the large and the extra large, check out the measurements and consider the weight of your cat(s). Two of ours are overweight (working on it) and they would definitely have toppled over the large one. We purchased the XL and my husband put it together in about 30 minutes, no complaints. There is an optional strap that allows you to secure it to the wall which might be helpful for some. I will say, it's a bit of a steep jump from the first level to the very top, even with cats who are great at jumping. We positioned a small table next to the cat tree to give the cats a little extra jumping room. Otherwise, they would not use that top level. I enticed them to the cat tree with some cat nip and they have spent quite a bit of time on it, play fighting and relaxing. The grey material is VERY soft and plush to the touch. Overall, we are pleased with the purchase.

I bought this 2 years ago for a semi-feral cat. My husband actually made a stand to put it on in our carport (since feral cats love height). My cat has used it for 2 years. He's up high, away from predators and warm in cool weather. Our carport keeps it out of the weather. Very good purchase and has held up well. My cat is now around 12 lbs. and it has supported him well. He loves the top perch all year round.

This is a GREAT cat tree! It was super easy to put together and feels like great quality. The top bed is massive, so much so it makes my chonk look tiny. Both my boys love to sit in the top and watch the world go by. This is a great brand and I will definitely buy more of their cat trees in the future. Also love that it came with a little mattress for the top section too.

It was pretty easy to assemble and has an anti-tilt strap for better stability. The materials are soft and plush, with a wide enough place to sleep on the top for larger cats. The tree is pretty sturdy without the anti-tilt strap being used. I can't seem to get my kitten to stay in the "rooms" for now but he loves laying on the top or using it for a stepping stone to get on a much larger cat tree. I think it is a really nice product - but I wish cat tree makers would consider how a cat is going to get out of one section to the next. There isn't a good way to go from the room to the top without jumping from a small area on the left or straight up from the floor. For a small kitten, that's not so easy.

My 13 pound cat loves the perch most - both size of it and height. She was up there immediately 😁 Condo entry & perch sizes are a definite plus for a bigger kitty. A couple of things for buyers or seller to note: - width of base is too short to allow cat to jump from single entry condo top to top perch. I have a pouf beside the tree - the perch top pillow slides when cats jump up. I’ll try double sided tape, but maybe some snaps on either end? - most advertisement pics show the tree free-standing. Your recommendations, though, say put the tree in a corner. A corner would help stabilize the unit more. (Using anti-tip piece) But that corner suggestion would have impacted my buying decision because corner spaces are not widely available in my home.

He has no claws (rescued him like that) so the way it's built, he can get to the second area with ease. I have a chair with a window ledge so he can get to the top. So happy with this purchase

My 10 year old Norwegian forest cat loves it so much. She is a little heavy and big so this fits her body and weight perfect. Our old one was tall and when she would jump it would move all over. This is wider than anticipated but still great!
