I just received this holster for my P365XL, and immediately I can tell it is an excellent value for the price. The fit and finish are excellent, I can see they polished all the edges of the kydex to be shiny and smooth, and it has that super satisfying *click* retention during holstering. Being that this holster is for a subcompact pistol, I appreciate that FDO minimized the amount of material they used for it -- there aren't any extra ledges or molding to cause discomfort, and all the edges of the holster sit flush with the edges of the pistol, perfectly measured. The only criticism I have is inherent to its design and is more of a personal preference than anything: this holster is not ride-height adjustable, and is designed to ride VERY low on the belt for excellent concealment (which it does). This doesn't leave much room between the belt line and the pistol grip, however, and makes it difficult to establish a full firing grip before drawing such a small pistol. It also causes my knuckle to smash into the "claw" during the draw stroke. It'll take some practice to overcome these things, but they aren't a deal breaker by any means. That being said, the holster arrived exactly as advertised and is overall a great quality kydex holster. Plus, it's almost impossible to beat the two day shipping compared to other holster maker's 4-6 week lead times. Definitely recommended. ... show more

First off, $50 or so for a holster seems unreal, but when you compare to other brands it’s actually quite cheap. The fit and finish for this is generally good, and the clip is quality although I wish there was an option to order loops from the same company. Retention is good and easily adjustable, and the cutout for optic seems to be well placed. The trigger guard completely covers the trigger without the possibility of anything getting in between gun and holster. The holster covers the mag release button half-way, although it provides plenty of buffer between the skin and the holster that you shouldn’t have any issue of your body coming in contact with the mag release, especially not enough to depress it in whatever position you carry. Got it for my Sig P365. Feels good so far! My favorite thing about this is the claw. It's the best claw I've had on any of my holsters. Retention is good, you can adjust it if you need to. My only gripe is that it rotates on my belt to the point where I can't draw. But, it could be that I need a thicker belt. I just have a $20 Walmart brand leather belt. ... show more

If you are looking for a high quality, simple solution for your P365 XL, this is it. Kydex is the material here, but FDO went the extra mile and beveled/polished all the edges and it is near flawless. That may be normal ops for you, but I have been using local made holsters and they have been a mixed bag of quality. Don't get me wrong, I like supporting the local guys and the holsters do exactly what I am looking for but I didn't have time to find a local guy that could make one for the XL. I had to wade through all the regular P365 holsters before finding a holster for the XL. From my understanding, the closed end holsters built for the regular P365 will not work for the XL. FDO not only has the XL covered, it is optics ready and has a claw... next day! I am very pleased with the fit and finish and the retention is perfect right out of the box. They even provided a spare foot for the claw. I currently wear this appendix with a Hanks belt and the claw really helps make the grip end disappear. My first review was rejected for some unknown reason so I cut the review to see if it would take. I don't write many reviews and only for the things that are worthy... ... show more

I wore this holster almost every day for nearly 4 years. It is very comfortable and I love being able to adjust the angle/tension of the holster. It has been very kind to my p365xl finish as well. The gun still looks almost brand new, which means FDO uses very high-quality Kydex. But after almost 4 years, my holster started to develop a crack over the trigger guard. The holster still functions well, but I was worried about it. So I sent FDO a message through their website and Jake emailed me the next morning. I sent pictures of the crack on the holster and he sent me a brand new one. All in all, I had a replacement holster in 5 business days. The customer service was as good as it gets and I am now an FDO holster guy for life. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a top-notch quality holster with a lifetime warranty. ... show more

This is my first appendix-carry IWB (1 o'clock). Retention is perfect. Clip holds my belt great. Holster doesn't come out when I draw. The "claw" is beneficial to keeping the grip flat, aids in concealing. IMO: Carrying at 1 o'clock: Pros: Easy to conceal, very fast access. Con: Hard to bend forward with a grip in your stomach. More towards 2 o'clock helps. I'm still getting used to this position, so your results may differ. Overall, this holster is really nice, and even better for the price. ... show more

Buy it you won’t regret it. I don’t normally write reviews but had to on this holster. Excellent fit with no extra material. Super comfortable I can even wear it with gym shorts. Excellent quality will buy again for my other set guns.

Overall good and what you would look for with 1 small catch. The retention screws are also the connection for the claw so if you try to tighten the claw down, you'll almost lock your gun in and if you want to lessen retention, the claw is loose.
