This gas cap was a complete waste of money. The only good thing I can say about it is it was cheap. It was supposed to be a direct replacement for the original cap on my 2000 Cadillac DeVille but it was not. The tether fitting that attaches to the gas lid was larger than the original and I had to increase the hole diameter in the lid. The tether attachment at the cap was very tight and did not slip freely. The tether broke off at the cap end on the first day. ... show more

    • The cap fits. Short plastic line.

Replaced my OEM cap with this one. The hole on the gas door where the plastic line attaches to hold the cap had to be hogged out to 1/4” to for it to fit into. The line then ended up being a tad short so when the cap is installed correctly, the gas door will not open all the way as you unscrew it. It’ll break I’m sure, so I’ll probably use paracord to repair that . ... show more
