    • Nice Looking Board, but I Got a Dud

I bought this board as a companion board so I can drag family and friends with me to the lake without having to lug them around on my board ( can be a buzzkill with adults that are scared of water and take up board space, gripping onto the sides like a cat over a bathtub). PROS: When the set came in, I was impressed considering how inexpensive it was; The board, although basic, was really CUTE, the pump was a basic setup but really EASY TO USE and I liked it much better than the pump that came with my much more expensive board. The backpack also exceeded my expectations, and was the detail about this set that convinced me that it might be decent quality. CONS: The leash was about what I expected ( basic coil) , as was the paddle (didn't have any locking ability once the hight was adjusted). The repair kit came WITHOUT GLUE, but with everything else. There was a BAD CHEMICAL SMELL when I opened everything, but I'm sure this would have dissipated over time. I checked everything and pumped up the board at home to make sure it was all working properly before taking it out, which seemed to be the case. Unfortunately, because of the loud AC unit in my living room and the fact that I didn't pump up to the full PSI, I was unable to hear the MASSIVE SEAM LEAK around the air valve. Thankfully I heard it when we were inflating the board at the lake, before we got on the water. FINAL THOUGHTS: I was kinda SAD to RETURN this BOARD since the price is so much lower than other stuff on the market. I had to be talked out of keeping it, by my partner who reminded me that it is not my job to rescue all broken things and prove that they too can be useful. I also know absolutely nothing about repairing water craft, and spending more time/ money on trying to figure it out on an Item that HASN'T WORKED PROPERLY from day 1, seems ridiculous. The RETURN PROCESS was FAST and EASY, which is classic Amazon. I truly believe that I got A DUD, and that the majority of these boards are probably fine. Because of my experience, I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND this set unless you like to gamble, and are only able to afford a cheap board, or don't plan on using it often/ as a main board. It could still be a good candidate for a backup board if you know how to fix/ reinforce seams, but who honestly wants to put that kind of work into something that you're spending over $200 for at the start? ... show more

    • Good firm paddleboard, fantastic value for the money!

I bought this for my 8 year old son who's had no issues with stability - only thing he complains about is how my paddleboard (a Body Glove Performer 11 from costco) is fancier, which it is, but his was so much cheaper I am beside myself with satisfaction on this purchase. Only quirk I found - While the pump that ships with the board works great, my OutdoorMaster 12VDC SUP pump's halkey-roberts fitting won't lock into this one. The same electric pump works great with my Body Glove board, I feel maybe the pump has an extra burr on the plastic twist fitting that doesn't clear the band on the Fayean board's valve. I can still hold the tubing pressed up against the valve and it will inflate, but it gets hard to maintain a seal the higher the pressure goes. What has worked instead is this- I use the 12V electric pump's low-pressure/high-flow feature to inflate the Fayean board up to the point where it's taken shape, but isn't higher than ~3psi. I remove the electric pump and put it on my board - then set it to pump continously until it reaches 15psi over there. I use the Fayean manual pump to manually inflate the Fayean board up to 15psi. I am able to complete the inflation much faster than my electric pump does filling my own (Body Glove) board. Given we have 2 boards to inflate, this is a much more efficient use of time than waiting ~7-10 minutes for each board to inflate automatically. Otherwise, the board is fairly low-frills, and I may consider getting some PVC glue and adding extra D-rings to the board in the future for trying out a kayak seat or the like. ... show more

The night I got the board, I inflated it to the 12 psi recommended (took a ton of elbow grease), the board lost every ounce of air OVERNIGHT. If you are planning on buying this, inflating it once, and using it for weeks... I'd buy a different board. You also have to be FAST when inflating this. There is no gasket or anything to prevent the air from escaping the second you take the pump hose off. Be ready, or else you'll have to do the back breaking work of getting it up to pressure multiple times before you can even take it out! The deflation wouldn't be a big deal if it was easier to inflate. It tracks okay, but my partner has a wider, easier to inflate board that was only $20 more. If I could return at this point, I would. ... show more

Had great expectations for this inflatable SUP but did not have a great time using. The board is very unstable. I would suggest looking for a longer and wider board. Inflatables are quite light compared to solid ones so they are inherently more unstable and going bigger may be the best option.

The Board and its components are high quality. Unfortunately, its very unstable. I purchased it for my 6'2", 240 lb, athletic husband. It has the technical capacity to handle the weight without issue but the board width makes it too unstable for him to enjoy.... but our 3 and 6 year old daughters will love it! ... show more

This board can hold 320 pounds with no problem. That was my #1 buying element. Family of tall people: 6ft- 6ft 7” tall. Easily my tallest is 260 now and still growing. So how do you put 1 not less 2 people on the board? Most have a weight of 230-250. Board is long enough too. Price is great, easy to inflate (I use out electric pump). Wanted a darker color but they do not have that with the board weight of 320. Very satisfied with this purchase ... show more

Great board very sturdy! I would definitely recommend getting an electric pump it's nearly impossible to get the correct psi with the hand pump and just generally takes way too long. Quick to deflate and pack away. I'll be buying a few more so we each have our own this summer!
