When we bought our house, there was a leak that rotted out the floor. Turns out somebody didn't know how to install shower valves properly. At any rate, these replacements worked perfectly for me. I was able to fix the leak and upgrade the hardware. With everything brand new, and installed correctly, I'm hoping it will last a long time. Something to note: for me, I had to modify the install wrench to be shorter, so make sure you either don't get a generic one, or be prepared to modify it. You might not need to; I just hate turning water on and off more than I have to. The kit comes with a wrench to install the valves, but not the valve seats (? I guess that's what they're called?). You need to separately buy the square bit that goes into the seat to screw it into the housing before installing the valve ( the one I got was the recommended one,10 bucks). ... show more

I have brought 5 of them and use for my apartments in the past two years. This kit contains all the stems and nice-looking handles. Given the inflation happening in 2021 and 2022, the price went up 30%. Still, it is good price and good looking comparing you buy a different set or separately.

Handles don’t quite clear the stem upon installation. They actually make the housing too long for the stem so when shutting off the stems they rub the end of the housing if you don’t use a spacer of some sort to extend the stem a little or the chrome housing/trim piece. Also the handles install a bit loose, I’d recommend only purchasing this set if you plan on using the stems only. The product looked great when initially installed. However, about a month later two of the three handles have the white part separating from the metal. Not only is this ugly but it allows water in places it should not be. Additionally, the white paint is already chipping off from simple use. Again, this is about a month after installing them. Easy to install. Would be great if it came with the valve seat tool. Quality of the handles is phenomenal. It would get 5 stars if the kit came with the valve stem tool. Luckily I had one.

This is a great kit. It includes everything you need and the instructions are crystal clear. However, the handles are long and our hot water handle hits the diverter handle when in the top position. Totally my fault since I didn’t measure first so I can’t blame the kit for that.

The the weight seemed OK but some of the components like the handles run into each other. after four months of use,one of the plastic covers is already broken. The value for the money seems to be OK.

The stems are too long in my bathtub for these fixtures. So I had to return. The product was never used, but all the parts were there. I hate my stems were too long.
