  • Good product, Good price
Style: Classic
This product performs exactly as expected. For the price it is a good deal and adds nice class. The look is wonderful and a nice contrast to most plastic Pfister type handles. I fail to understand the complaints as all are easily remedied and I have yet to see Pfister type handles that look better. The issues with the screws being loose plagues all Pfister style handles, this can be very easily remedied by sparingly applying a thread-locking compound such as locktite. The porcelain is difficult to damage, as I dropped one of the handles 4 feet on to marble tile with no scratching! The only catch to installation is you will need a valve seat wrench which many people don't have in their home repair kits, and honestly it is for most people a one time use tool and best borrowed. Wolverine PST156 Tapered Faucet Seat Wrench I should say that replacing the valve seat is recommended but if they are in good working order, probably not necessary. I should not that if your valve body is quite close to the face of the tile, and the current handle project quite far, these may not work as there might be a gap in the handle, but in most properly tiled showers with 1/2" backerboard and thinset tile, this should not be an issue. ... show more

  • Works well
Style: Classic
Great replacement. However, the arm sleeves arent quite long enough. No drips though, no complaints from me.

  • So far so good
Style: Lever Handles
When we bought our house, there was a leak that rotted out the floor. Turns out somebody didn't know how to install shower valves properly. At any rate, these replacements worked perfectly for me. I was able to fix the leak and upgrade the hardware. With everything brand new, and installed correctly, I'm hoping it will last a long time. Something to note: for me, I had to modify the install wrench to be shorter, so make sure you either don't get a generic one, or be prepared to modify it. You might not need to; I just hate turning water on and off more than I have to. The kit comes with a wrench to install the valves, but not the valve seats (? I guess that's what they're called?). You need to separately buy the square bit that goes into the seat to screw it into the housing before installing the valve ( the one I got was the recommended one,10 bucks). ... show more

Style: Lever Handles
There are problems with this product. As others have said the valve stems are too long. As a result the handle trim does not cover the metal flanges. The gap looks terrible. The stems are about one inch too long. You could get the original Pfister valves ($9 ea at HomeDepot) which are one inch shorter, but then the left one will not work with these lever style handles: Pfister valves are "righty-tighty". But with lever style faucets each one opens in opposite direction. Another problem is that since these are standard rubber washers (not ceramic disc) the washers get compressed over time and you have to turn the handle further and further. That's ok with round handles. But with lever style handles after a while each one of the three is in a different angle. It looks pretty ugly. Better to get the old Danco round metal handle kit. At least, these cover the flanges and you can turn them as much as you have to shut the water, and they still look uniform. ... show more

  • Wish I could love it but there are major issues
Style: Classic
This is a hard one to review. I like it but there are some major problems. Pros: This is a great kit. It has everything you need to completely replace a shower faucet. All three handles plus the stems and everything else for a great price. Other places have this kit for at least twice as much. Buying all the pieces separately you could get one faucet replaced for the same price as this kit. The stems are great quality and the handles look nice too. Cons: The stems are far too long for these handles. I doesn't look nice and now I have to decide if I want to buy different stems or different handles. (I have another shower so I will kind of divide this kit between the two.) Also the handles are not actual porcelain. They are just coated but they still look nice. I really want to love this kit and was hoping I would just order another one for my other shower but I can't figure out how to make all the pieces fit without changing my plumbing which would defeat the purpose of saying money with this kit. Any suggestions on how to make this work are welcome. ... show more

  • Looks and works great
Style: Classic
Installed easily and looks great. These handles seem to be enamel coated cast iron, which is far superior to the fragile porcelain ones I ordered previously (two separate orders arrived broken). Definitely worth it. I wish the flanges were a little longer and that it came with a seat wrench (you'll need a square ended one to install these, which I highly recommend doing...don't use new stems with old seats). Watched a YT video and did the replacement in less than an hour. ... show more

  • Very nice set at a bargain price
Style: Classic
Moved in to an old house and bought this to fix some leaks. Everything went together and it looks great. Even includes new valve seats! Only thing "porcelain" finish on the handles is a little crude, if you look close there are pocks and drip evidence. Solution - Don't look closely. Been a year and no regrets. Remember you don't have to crank down to stop the faucet just a enough pressure to stop the stream will save you from having to replace the seals often. ... show more
