10 inches thick is plenty comfortable and looks better on a low profile bed. Came is a much smaller box, expands to size upon opening. Firm is just right at least for me. I owned a firm mattress before this one and it was the most comfortable mattress so I'm doing firm again. Cheap price as these used to cost more years ago.
