Description

Farm to Feet American Trail Series | Damascus Crew Named for one of the most hiker-friendly towns anywhere along the Appalachian Trail, the Damascus is the go-to sock for serious section- and through-hikers. With our most advanced features and a fine-tuned blend of cushioning and ventilation, this lightweight crew offers superior comfort and moisture management thanks to super-fine 19.5-micron merino wool. Targeted full-density padding provides blister protection during big-mile trips, while US-only materials and construction offer hard-wearing durability. Features: U.S. Merino Wool: Merino wool is soft, cool in the summer, and warm in winter. We source our 100% U.S. grown merino wool exclusively from sheep raised by American farmers on American farms. CREW: Traditional sock height that fits firmly on the lower calf, also known as the daily. Targeted Cushion Zone: Found primarily in our Snow Sport and Technical Hike series, targeted cushioning adds shock-absorbing loop knit at key impact areas of foot, shin & calf depending on designed use. Targeted cushioning helps reduce impact from activities like skiing and hiking while providing a better fit for ski boots and low-volume shoes. Seamless Toe Closure: Advanced knitting techniques create a totally flat connection in the toe box, reducing bulk and eliminating blister-generating friction. Comfort Compression: Circumferential compression from the top of the sock through the arch creates a precise, comfortable fit that helps support the foot throughout the day. Durability Assured: Reinforced construction and low-stress seam placement reduce wear and tear, increasing the life of the sock. Care Instructions: To ensure long-lasting comfort and fit, Farm To Feet socks should be machine washed cold and laid flat to dry. Allows for fresh air to flow into the shoe to provide cooling and remove moisture along the side of the foot and the bottom. Full density cushioning for added comfort. Provides extra protection while also facilitating adequate airflow around the foot. Provide extra reinforcement in key impact areas. Farm to Feet is committed to using an all-American recipe: US materials, US manufacturing, and US workers. At Farm to Feet, we take “Made in the USA” one step further by using raw materials sourced from the U.S. This includes the American-grown wool, nylon and elastic to produce our 100% American Socks as well as the paper and inks used in our packaging. Farm to Feet socks are made with 100% American ingredients, all of which are produced, processed, and knitted by U.S. workers in U.S. companies. To produce a 100% American made product requires the strength and pride of U.S. workers.

  • Good to go
Great item! Wore during a western Hunt Spot and Stalk. Very warm environment, mornings were 40's and afternoons were 80's. They held up well, very comfortable and great quality. Good fit on foot and in the boot. Would buy again.

  • Worth it.
At first I was hesitant about the price; but figured best to support US made products. I am a mechanic and am on my feet all day. These socks did not disappoint. They are comfortable, stay fresh and are long lasting. Not too thick, not too thin. Just right. I can wear a pair ALL day at work and still feel comfortable wearing them through the evening. ... show more

  • Fantastic for backpacking!
Size: Large Color: Green Gables
Used these on my Trans-Catalina backpack trip and they were great. Comfortable in my boots. Not too hot and not too cold. I'm a Merino wool convert!

  • A great feeling, great wearing sock.
Size: Large Color: Green Gables
I enjoy wearing these socks. The wear and comfort is superb. The materials and design is stellar. I only purchased one pair in the beginning, because the price is a little steep. However, after receiving and wearing these Farm to Feet socks, I will be purchasing additional socks in the future. They are quite warm for a lightweight sock. I feel I can wear them year round. ... show more

  • Extremely comfortable
Size: X-Large Color: Charcoal
I’ve just received a pair of the extra large. I wear a size 12 shoe and love the extra roominess in the toe area of these socks. Most brands are tight in the toes even in the XL and these are perfect for me. I suspect I could wear a L but I’ll stick to the XL. These socks are the most comfortable I’ve tried. I’ve worn expensive wool socks for years but these are far superior in comfort. I believe the high wool content and targeted cushioning are a major plus. I hope these are more durable than the others I’ve worn also. I reviewed the company website and ordered 3 other pairs to try. I’m hoping to find a true summer weight with as much comfort. For those who complain about line drying wool socks, it’s a trade off. Either you eat industrial fast food or “slow” cooked nutritious meals, life is a series of choices we make depending on what we value most. I just happen to value the total comfort of my old feet! Hanging a couple of socks is a very small price to pay. ... show more

  • Comfortable socks that keep their shape and don’t wear out.
These are by far the best socks I have ever had! The first pair I got as a swag item from a Backpacker Magazine tour sponsor booth in 2016. Fell in love with them immediately. Bought 3 pair more and wore them exclusively. They are good all year long. I have 7 purchased pairs now. All are washed weekly and all in great shape. My Original pair is still doing good but needs a small darn in the toe. ... show more
