    • Bottom fabric bleeds/stains but my dog doesn't seem to mind
Size: X-Large
This bed arrived in a compressed roll. It took a day or two to plump up. It is shipped with the zipper open on the end, which allowed me to see that the bottom fabric of the bed had stained the bottom of the foam wherever it touched. The foam is pastel yellow but 95% of the bottom of the bed is brown. The tag was sandwiched between the foam and fabric, and there was no staining under the tag, so it was definitely the bottom fabric causing the stain. Either it's oxidized or the dye bled, or something like that, but I'd be cautious putting it on a bare floor for sure. There are also little black nonslip dots that are notorious (in my experience) for staining. Our dog sleeps on a cot with a bed on top, so I don't mind if the cot picks up some dye. I am a little concerned about what-all chemicals they used in the bed though. Also the zipper is REALLY thin and was hard to zip shut once the bed had expanded. I'm a little wary of taking it off to wash it. But if worse comes to worse it's a simple rectangle and it would be easy to improvise a new cover. The bed is a good size but it's probably not quite thick enough for my large older dog (my fault, but I did think the foam would be denser). Her old bed was thick enough to sit flat when she was in the middle of it, even though the cot sags a bit in the middle. This one sticks up on the ends when she lies down. I think I need to make a bunkie board for the cot to compensate for both sagging and the thin bed. Although my dog really seems to like it. For a couple of weeks, she had a mattress that she clearly hated, and eventually destroyed over the course of a week or so. This one seems cozy to her. She loves the pillow side of the mattress and uses it to rest her head, which is adorable. She has a lot of room to move around even though she's big, and she can sleep in several positions. The mattress is the exact same size as the cot so it keeps her leg bones off the metal edge. I don't think the price is quite in line with the quality or size of the bed, but that may be my failure to update my idea of the value of a dollar. It's a decent bed if you plan to put it on a surface that you don't mind getting discolored. I wasn't impressed at first but my dog likes it and hasn't demolished it so I'm happy. ... show more

This bed is perfect in size It's a large and has a detachable pillow. The cover is easily removable for washing and is thick enough for comfort. My dog seems to love it. Little worried about a chemical smell when first unwrapped, smelled like paint, just air it out for a bit before using.
