Great starter pack

I bought these to try in my cups because of the price and variety. They’re easy to use and work as intended. Only issue I had was the mica separating and sticking to the sides of the cup with the metallics, but that could be a user error on my part.

Nice inks

Great set of inks for a low price. Each color tends to suspend a bit differently, so some trial and error is required for special effects. But these work great in epoxy and make some nice effects.

Caution with the bottles, frustratingly tough to open.

The colors are pretty pigmented and there is ample variety within this pack, which I appreciate. The bottles are very small, which I know that they have the size on the listing of course, but they were a bit tinier than I would have imagined them to have been. Still they work wonderfully for what I use them for, which is adding color to resin projects. A couple colors were repeats, but it seemed to be intentional as the repeated colors were white / black. I appreciate the variety in types of colors such as metallics, neons, pastels, neutrals, etc. You can expect several shades of each of the primary/secondary color wheel as well as your usual neutrals in multiple dark and light variations. They had a metallic version for each of the primary/secondary colors, and these metallics had a really nice shine to them! I like most the metallic shades (they are clearly labeled as metallic) and the brighter, neon-like shades. The hot pink was my all time favorite! It was beautiful when I mixed the hot pink color with a little bit of the pure white color, it made it like a milky pink. You could do the same with any of the other bright colors mixed with white, and you’ll see what I mean. Pretty awesome pigments these inks had, and an ample variety of shades is a bonus!! Like I said, not a bad product itself, as I actually did enjoy the colors very much. I will not be buying these again, and for maybe what some could say is a ‘dumb’ reason…. but I had to take off two stars from my rating due to the absolutely TERRIBLE design that these bottles have. They come with nothing to safely puncture your tiny little bottles of ink. I also bought a variety pack of 30 jars of mica powder (from different seller/brand) in the same amazon order and that set came with a small plastic “blade” with a point that was sharp enough to help you remove the paper seal on each jar when you first use that color. It was sharp enough to work—but it was plastic and would not cut your skin if any accidents occurred. This set of great alcohol ink with ample color options unfortunately did not come with any to to assist in breaking the seals that come on every single tiny little bottle. It was super hard to pierce through the very skinny plastic dispenser tip that would be the narrowest part of the bottle that you would “drip” the liquid out through. And since there wasn’t any tool, I had used several things around the house. I tried scissors at first, which was BAD thinking on my part… but I cut the tip slowly, and precisely, and the ink proceeded to squirt out everywhere. It got on my face, my arms, my clothes. Lucky for me, I wear glasses, otherwise I would have for sure got this ink straight shot into my eyes. That would have been a nightmare… Next attempt, I knew that cutting the tip would be a terrible mistake… so I found a sharp, metal pointy tipped tool from harbor freight. This pointy tool worked well. It resembled what the metal tip of a thumbtack would be shaped like, although it was larger and longer. This was my go-to tool for opening each and every ink. I still have yet to open them all, as I am avoiding it, because it is so hard to open them for the first use. After opening each bottle the ink squirts out quite a bit onto your hands when you finally break that air tight seal. Better than squirting all over the place, but still, it is ink and will stain your bare hands and totally ruin your nail polish if you get your nails done. Was annoying to have colorful stains on my hands/nails, but one of the times I was trying to open another bottle, I accidentally let my hand slip after attempting to puncture the bottle (every single bottle I opened for the first time took multiple attempts at stabbing through the skinny neck nozzle of these bottles. Not because it was very thick plastic, but because it was so tiny!) I had cut my finger very badly, with a metal stick, and I was worried about needing a tetanus booster afterwards. I was especially worried because it was a very deep puncture wound I got from the metal point stick, but on top of that, the ink from the bottle I was trying to pop open got ALLLLL in my wound. It didn’t heal like a normal wound, it healed very weird but eventually it went away and I was totally fine. But for about a week or so I had to deal with a deep, deep cut on my finger which was very frustrating for me. The bottles are a bad design and need improvement. Because of the bottles and how hard they are to open up for the first use, I would not buy again from this seller ... show more
