If you bleached your hair and it was Black now it’s a light orange or medium Orangutan orange then this is the right blue to counteract the orange hue. I bought a bottle of blue food coloring and added about a fourth of a cup to this bottle of Fanola Shook it up vigorously poured it over the hair will let it sit overnight . I bought this product to combat brassiness, and I can say confidently that this is what that product did! I love the smell and it leaves my hair truly so soft it’s a great mask and I use it once a week and it really gets the job done and leaves my hair looking fresh and silky soft!!!

I have ordered Fanola online for years now. I am Asian/Latino and have BLACK hair. I have ultra processes professionally styled silver hair- which I have had for about 2 years now. I wanted this to get rid of some orange tones in my blue/purple hair. I have ignored all warning from my stylist friend from buying these products online, and I feel for the first time I may have received an UNAUTHENTIC product! SCENT [not right] Packaging all looked right, conditioner looked normal us I have used this before. This bottle in particular just felt “different.” It was too soft, and had a strong odor of shaving cream. I can confidently say that even using this product with other Fanola products - it does nothing for me. The color is very lift, fluffy, and absolutely does not tone at all! I am going to stick with what I know and go back to the purpled extra pigment mask- this one is a no for me.... OVERALL I ran the conditioner by a stylist friend, and I respect her professional opinion when she says that it does not seem authentic. I have ordered from a salon before, and side by side they are not the same. I checked the expiration, everything seemed normal but it does not perform as it should. Authentic Fanola works EVERYTIME with visible differences, I have used also 1/2 the bottle and it still is not performing. It looks, feels, and smells cheap! I have level 6-7 colored brown hair that I’m growing out with 8-9 level highlights and the blue extra pigment mask only tried to work on my lightest blonde so I’m thinking this is probably best used for bleaching accidents that come out orangey blonde? Product did not take any red tones out of my brown ... show more

I have brown hair that seems to pop coppers. I've tried both no orange and no yellow shampoo and conditioner and while it helps a tiny bit, I could spend another $30 and get my hair toned at the salon.

The mask absolutely toned my highlighted blonde hair. It’s so icy compared to the orangy hair I was getting to. My purple shampoo works against yellows and brassiness too, but I liked that this was more targeted towards brassiness and orange. I can’t speak much to it’s moisturizing ability, as I used an awesome conditioner I already have beforehand. My hair does feel a bit less soft than usual, though. I left the mask in for about 15 minutes as my last step in the shower while I shaved my legs.
