Standard peak torque is 5 Nm, with the Boost Kit 180 (sold separately) unlocking the full 8 Nm. The custom motor was developed in Germany specifically for sim racing, delivering sensational performance thanks to patented FluxBarrier technology. The steering wheel is designed by Polyphony Digital especially for Gran Turismo, featuring OLED display, RevLED strip, and four directional sticks assigned to Gran Turismo 7's rapid-access adjustments for traction control, brake balance, torque split, and fuel mapping.     • Professional Tool versus a Toy
It's only been about an hours worth of racing so far, but this is lightyears ahead of the Thrustmaster stuff. I got this due to another Thrustmaster dying on me. My kid, the mechanic, wanted to see how the Thrustmaster was built. We tore it down yesterday and today the Fanatec showed up. I'm not exagerating at all, they are day and night differences, like a shovel versus a bulldozer. The way the Fanatec is built is light years ahead of the Thrustmaster. Basically, it a tool versus a toy. I will follow up after I've put some miles on it, but first impression is much better feel, much more linear action, you really get all that GT7 has to offer with this wheel. Currently only using the stock 5Nm setup, will be ordering the 8Nm upgraded supply to see if that yields any additional improvements. The instructions seemed as hard or harder to follow than an Ikea complete kitchen, but mine was simple plug and play and I was racing in no time. If there are no updates, then I remain as happy as I am today. Well worth the upgraded price. ... show more

The switch to the Fanatec GT DD Pro (5 Nm) is a massive improvement in feedback and detail compared to gear-driven wheels, but it’s definitely not "plug and play." The most important thing is that you must connect it to a PC before using it on PS5; mine came with the center offset by -4°, and if you don't recalibrate it using the software, the car pulls to the side on every straight. Once you update the firmware and set the center to 0°, the experience in GT7 is flawless, and the OLED screen is a nice touch for checking gears. Regarding the purchase, the package arrived in perfect condition and the shipping time was exactly as promised, with no issues during delivery. The standard CSL pedals work well to start, but it's clear the next logical step is adding the Load Cell kit to the brake for better consistency. It’s a significant investment, but if you're looking for professional precision on console, it's well worth the effort of setting it up correctly. ... show more

I upgraded from a logitech 923 wheel. Wow, what a difference! Works out of the box with ps5 and gt7. Just make sure you plug it into a quality, high current capable power strip or directly into the wall socket. For me the 5nm of force feedback is plenty, at least for now. The wheel is upgradable to 8nm with a different power supply. The driving realism is superb, when force feedback is maxed out you feel every bump and different road dynamics, uphill...downhill at a turn etc, ensuring great game play. This being my 1st driving simulator I was not disappointed and I highly recommend it. For PS5 it's pretty much a plug and play convenient bundle. It works great on Forza Horizon 5 and GT 7. If you're mounting it on a cockpit pay attention to the directions and where you're inserting the screws so you don't mess up the hardware. ... show more

I read and watched enough reviews to know what I was getting, huge improvement on the thrustmaster t300 I've been using for a few years. Hasn't made me much faster but it the feel is better and you really do catch spins more. Note, it doesn't come with mounting bolts, I knew, but wouldn't be happy if I hadn't done any research. Well boxed, relatively simple to set up. The wheel rim feels small and a little 'budget', but I always planned to buy a new wheel rim. Oh, and buy the 8nm power brick! ... show more
