Reviews are left saying how great they are and after 2 to 3 days I am in extreme pain. If my neck is triggered I will end up with a migraine. I have a memory foam pillow that I have loved for about 10 years. However, the memory foam has broken down and goes flat, leading to more migraines. It is the type with the roll for your neck and any others I have tried are too small/thin and don't support my neck, so back to the old pillow I go. I received this one almost a week ago and I have been waking up with minimal to no pain. Then I saw that if you ask for an extra insert they will send you one free! I asked for two and I received them in just a couple of days. Their customer service is incredible and so far I love this pillow. This is not your soft, squishy pillow. I initially bought this pillow in November ‘22 because I was having trouble with frozen shoulder and was unable to get comfortable while sleeping. The pillow did not disappoint! I even find a way to pack it in my suitcase when I travel because every other pillow is utterly worthless. I stopped waking with headaches and neck pain, and along with very little chiropractic care, my frozen shoulder resolved itself. I wanted to wait a long time before leaving review and I genuinely believe that anyone who sleeps on this pillow is going to love it. It’s sturdy, but not too firm, and the contour is perfect for me, a side sleeper. It has another position you can turn it to you if you’re a back sleeper, and the padding inside is also removable if the pillow is too high. At first, I thought it was going to be a little too big for me, but it was actually just with my neck needed. I am an average-sized person, 5’5”. I've had this pillow for over four months now, and while it definitely took some getting used to, this paired with a pillow I sleep with between my knees has completely eliminating some of the lower back pain and neck pain I was starting to wake up with regularly. I think my sleep is much deeper now, too, as I wake up feeling much more rested. I also exercise and work on improving my core, which is important too, but I don't think I would have gotten the relief I am experiencing without this pillow. ... show more

I purchased this in hopes of avoiding getting a CPAP machine for sleep apnea. TBH, I think that's an unreasonable expectation for any pillow. I was pleasantly surprised by how large and thick the pillow was. The construction is obviously high quality. It has a high and low side, and with a little adjustment, you'll figure out the most comfortable way to use it.     • Best pillow yet for broad shouldered guy

I am a 73 year old, side sleeper, 5 '11" tall, 185 Lb. with somewhat broad shoulders, tho I am not an athlete. My issue has always been getting proper support for my neck AND my head. My prior pillow, also purchased on Amazon, was the Coop Home Goods Original Loft Pillow. While it was the best pillow I had used, I rarely woke up the next morning without some neck discomfort OR shoulder pain. I am curious how prevalent shoulder pain is among side sleepers. I think it comes from the head and neck not being propped up high enough and level enough, so that extra weight is brought to bear on the shoulder supporting the body. The Famedio pillow seems to have solved that for me. I did need to contact them and ask them to send me the extra pad. In fact, I needed two pads to prop my head and neck up sufficiently. The result with their pillow, is my neck feels fine in the morning and i have no shoulder pain. Also, I fall asleep in about 30 minutes, vs. 45 minutes to an hour with my former pillow. Also, I sleep more peacefully, as my blankets aren't all messed up on the bed when i wake. I have only been using this setup for a week, but my sleep changes have been pretty consistent, night after night, so I am comfortable writing this review. One hint for people using a pad; I tried putting inside the famedio pillow case, stuffing it into the zippered underside of the pillow. However, doing this requires that a snap be unsnapped. This snap helps create the cavity for your head. With it unsnapped, I found too much of the benefit from the 3D landscape of the pillow was lost. This was not a problem however, as I took out the pad, resnapped the pillow, and simply placed the pad (actually 2 pads), directly under the pillow. The pillow and the two pads stay together well enough. Sure, I would like a more elegant solution, but this one seems to work well. Call me a happy camper that is getting his sleep now! ... show more

I have dealt with chronic neck and shoulder pain for years, and have tried many different kinds of pillows (along with other things!) to help relieve the pain - down pillows, firm pillows, flat pillows, multiple pillows. This pillow has been fantastic - the hollow in the center of the design keeps my head in a comfortable posture all night. I tend to sleep on my back, and this also provides good neck support, and is even comfortable on the occasions when I lay on my side.
