I had a cheaper one for $29 that played MP3 files fine. So I bought this more expensive one for another room. Just got around to trying MP3 files and there are constant pops while playing them. I tried all different bitrates down to 96 and it's the same. Save your money and buy something better.

Me gusta mucho su funcionamiento, compacto, buena terminación y buen sonido. Tengamos en cuenta que es de muy bajo costo y no comparto algunos comentarios que lo comparan con primeras marcas. El único inconveniente, que no tuve en cuenta es la tensión de alimentación que es de 110v. Lo recomiendo!

Bought this so I could have some music in my shop. I had 2 ancient Zenith speakers, but needed a way to use them and connect to my tablet for music. It works great. Connects easily and plays with no problem. For the price, it definitely exceeded my expectations. It doesn't have a super loud top end, but the sound quality to almost max volume is still pretty good. Only thing I can say against it is I'm not sure why it has a remote. Virtually nothing on it does anything. Not a problem for me as it is right next to my desk/workbench.

I have both the "300W" and "450W" versions of these. They're both excellent, but there's some power supply issues that the 450W version fixes that are present in the 300w version. The higher end version is well worth the additional $10-15 or so for the upgrade. Not only do you get more features (Optical and coaxial S/PDIF input), but you get a better power supply and less noise/static in the audio. The small one I have is listed as a model BT-298A and the large one is listed as a BT-398A. One key thing to note is that those power ratings are EXTREMELY overstated. The maximum power draw from any printed figures I can see from this is 60 watts total based on the 12v input drawing up to 5 amps (on both versions, nonetheless), so with the internal electronics, I'm going to guess its around 25 watts per channel for audio. This is still PLENTY of power for loud music, unless you're trying to fill an entire stadium or concert arena. I did not measure the actual power draw. Hookup and use is very straightforward, there's nothing super complicated with it. Audio quality is EXCELLENT for the price of the unit, and the feature set is great too. I suppose my biggest gripe that applies to both of them is the way that power and volume controls are handled. The power on/off functionality is duplicated between the AC power switch, and the remote control. The same issue applies to the volume between the physical knob and the remote. The controls are independent and separate from one another. This kinda defeats the whole purpose of the remote in the first place, but given the price to performance ratio of these, its easy enough to look over. Regarding the power supply issues, there's one very minor annoyance on the higher power one, and that is that the power cord isn't removable for when you want to run it off the 12v input on the back. On the bright side, that's not really needed, unless you want to run it portable somewhere. The power supply built into the bigger one is a proper transformer with linear regulator, not a cheap and noisy switch mode power supply. The smaller one has a major problem with ground loops between the Bluetooth board and the rest of the circuitry in addition to using an RF noisy switching power supply. To alleviate some of those issues I installed some audio isolation transformers and a DC-DC power isolation module, but now that I have the larger one as well I can say, just spend the extra to get that one. In the end, the BT-398A is an absolutely amazing audio amplifier for the price! The BT-298A has several flaws that make the extra money of the bigger one well worth the cost difference, though it is far for what I would call bad or terrible if you are comfortable with some soldering modifications.
