My July 2023 order of ‘Elegant Sun Facial Tanning Bed Lotion Face Moisturizer, 1.7 oz’ arrived in a plastic pump dispenser bottle with a plastic cap. I did not find any explicit expiration date; however, the label displays the ‘12M’ symbol, meaning the product is best used within twelve months of initial opening. This product is Made in USA. After using this moisturizer for a few weeks, I did notice some amount of color added to my skin, but nothing too quick or too drastic. That’s probably preferable, so you can slowly sneak up on the tan color you are seeking. I would not say this moisturizer is fragrance-free; I did notice a mild scent but it does dissapate over time. For the most part the dispenser worked ok, but there were a few times it did not deliver a full pump - that was annoying. For the 1.7 oz size and the current price ($20.99), I’m not sure this lotion offers the value I want. I guess it depends on how well it works for you and how much of your skin you want to use it with.

The tanning lotion itself works AMAZING!!! I use it in the tanning bed, and my face comes out a gorgeous, natural bronze. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because, as other reviews had warned me, the pump on the bottle broke after two uses. But I just broke it open and put it in a squeeze bottle!

At first, I was doubtful; especially because upon first glance, this looks like a self-tanning lotion and that was not what I wanted. However, that’s definitely not what this is, and I’m delighted to report that it’s a GREAT gradual tanning enhancer and blender. I know this is marketed as a facial product, but if it’s gentle enough for my face, then I can certainly use it elsewhere. My first goal was to eliminate the flip-flop tan lines on my feet and the weird tan grooves in between my toes, so I slathered the tops of my feet and in between my toes and got in the pool and floated on my pool float (with my feet elevated out of the water). I applied the lotion every two hours and I was outside for at 4 hours. The next day, I did the exact same thing, and when I woke up the third day of this test, my feet looked perfect! My silly tan lines were gone and I had the Florida-in-Central-New York feet I’ve always wanted. Now that I knew this stuff worked like a dream, I went to work on my calves. My friends mock me because I really don’t care about how tan the back of me isn’t, but I’ve spent so much time outside this summer that it’s a bit more odd looking than I thought… I again slathered both the tan and not-so-tan parts of my legs, reapplying every two hours for two afternoons in the sun. I made sure to let the back of me get some sun, too. I even grilled my dinner both nights purposely NOT facing the sun (oh, the horror). Again, on day 3, I achieved the results I wanted. My legs have never looked so uniform before! After the first two successes, I figured I should probably use it as it was intended, so I covered my face (and neck and décolletage because of course). I only applied everywhere once, but I repeated the application where I’ve made other silly tan lines, likely from squinting while trying to shop on Amazon in the sun. Again, success! I was able to blend away the evidence of my outdoor shopping habits. Some comments on the scent: it smells tropical, like coconut plus some other sort of food, and I can’t put my finger on it. Maybe a hint of vanilla, but also something else. It’s not fruity. It’s pleasant and smells like you belong at the beach, but it doesn’t linger the way the scent of Grandma’s tanning oil always did. Because this is sold as a facial serum, I think the price of just under $20 is more than reasonable. I would love to be able to buy this in a much larger bottle. I’ll definitely be ordering this serum again.

The pump doesn’t work. you have to turn upside down and pound it to get product out, when it does . Other than that the product is good.

It takes some time but it works. I used it in the winter months to keep my skin complexion from looking washed out. After several days of application and my summer glow began to fade, I noticed my skin stayed brighter and more melanated for longer into the cold months. I'm not consistent with anything and by February I was back to usual winter complexion.

I found this tanning mousse to work well at first. It definitely takes practice making sure you have your face covered evenly and in all spots, but with practice, it works well. However, I work out daily and have noticed that the tanning oil seems to strip away with sweat, leaving my skin looking blotchy and uneven. For that reason, if you are an athlete or workout often I would personally not recommend this product.

I like a noticeable change right from the jump with my tanners , I don't have time for this gradual stuff in case I forget a day and have to re-build. If you are more of a slow, steady, and subtle . this may work for you . for me it did not change the tan on my face and I'm medium beige to fair . the moisturizing agents in it work well though and my skin felt soft and I have zero clogged pores. just will boil down on the preference of the application results
