    • Pretty good but siding comes opposite to the original joy-cons.

I saved a cracked joycon using this. The only problem was that the coloring comes in opposite sides to the original joy-cons. I had to dismantle both the green and pink joy-cons and switch their parts in order to fix the pink one. The controllers look brand spanking new though.

I purchased this kit and replace the faulty piece of 2 left joypad. To be fair, it was a bit difficult to put things back together (smaller fingers and a 3rd hand would have been useful). and I messed up one an one of the pieces was not properly positioned and I had to put one of the joypad apart a 2nd time. These things look fantastic. My son loves splatoon and these make it look like he has the special edition splatoon switch. I would say they are intermediate difficulty with plenty of videos on YouTube to follow. You will need patience and a steady hand. Also mini tools. I have plenty from replacing drifting analog joysticks. But don't attempt this with normal tools. You'll need those tiny ones. And the Nintendo security screwdriver ... show more

It was hard to do but awesome! First DIY shell swap and it took forever. Watch a couple tutorials online to make sure you take the easiest route possible!

The shells themselves are nice. This product does not come with extra hardware, screw drivers or SR or SL colored buttons. if you have not changed out controller shells before I do not recommend using this kit as stated above if you lose 1 screw or spring you will need to order a parts kit as well. The shells themselves are OEM quality and look great; just wish that they included the SL and RL buttons to match the shell colors; you will be stuck with what ever the current colors are or will have to purchase the buttons separately ... show more
