I love Faber-Castell products and use them daily! They're high quality, lovely to use, and vibrant. You definitely get the value for your money. Their kits, such as this one, are wonderful to buy for people who are starting up their collection or wanting to try a medium. All the charcoal feels great, and is usable, the kneadable eraser works exceptionally well with it, and value for money feels there, the actual product id give a 5/5, but every single piece of compressed charcoal and the pencils charcoal came fractured, not an issue for the compressed sticks, but for the pencils means just a-lot of it isn't usable as the lead just falls out while sharpening, this seems like more of an amazon issue than faber castell though, I’d heavily suggest this charcoal set, but i would suggest getting it somewhere else, in person if possible, it came packaged in a large envelope with no real packaging material protecting it besides the envelope itself. It took sharpening one of the pencils a quarter of the way through for it to hold a sharpen with charcoal protruding enough to use. As for the actual set its good but justifiably small, the pencils and compressed charcoal will last, but only a single blending tortillion and 8 sticks of willow/vine charcoal isn't a-lot to work with depending on the size of work. If possible id suggest adding some form of brush, blending material, and extra vine charcoal alongside this set, lastly theres no form of sharpener, worth noting you'll need something to sharpen the pencils outside of the set, but thats a niche issue most won’t need to worry about Tldr: product is good, will dwindle down fast on larger canvases pieces, can be worth ordering extra blending materials, set came with a considerably large amount of broken pieces, while still usable slightly annoying and worth noting. ... show more
